There was a very interesting article in the Globe regarding Patsy Ramsey that WY reported on at the forum's "Tabloid Watch."

Here is the cover from the <b><a href="http://www.globemagazine.com">Globe's web site</a></b>:

The only flattering photograph on this edition's cover...

    ...is of JonBenet herself.

Patsy does indeed look ill. If her cancer has returned it must be an uphill and difficult struggle for her.

However, if Patsy has information or testimony that she could give that clears any or all of the rest of her family she should give that sworn testimony to a publically-trusted and believable authority, while she still has the time and the clarity of mind.

Otherwise, her statements to date do nothing to clear John or other Ramsey family suspects, and they will forever live under the umbrella of suspicion.

Patsy is sorry now? Now that she is probably close to dying? I have to wonder if she would be as sorry if she were in the middle of another new home remodeling project off somewhere for one of their retreats instead of facing the grim reaper.

I know this is really old news but it sickens me to no end to see JonBenet's perfectly painted lips, the color of Patsy's as I look at those pictures of she and JonBenet on the cover of the Globe. I just don't understand where she was coming from when she was tarting her up like that. I have a 7 year old daughter and I just can't grasp why on earth she would do that to her or what would make the thought cross her mind.

It is hard enough to get a child that age dressed in regular school looking clothes that don't clash like on the days I work when her father lets her go to school looking unkempt. This morning I thought of what JonBenet must of gone through in order to get that perfectly coiffed hair. I cannot imagine the horror of what both JonBenet and Patsy must of gone through everytime Patsy made her up to look like a 20 year old model. Playing dress up is one thing, but making a child tolerate all that making up would be a nightmare. Maybe that's why she bopped her on the head.

    Patsy has recovered

    Nandee,

You will have to go to the drug store and ask for the eye drops to remove the redness. What is it with you and eyes? :)

I read just recently of Patsy's recovery. I'm pleased to hear this... because I would like to hear the truth about what happened on Christmas night.

Many posters believe this news about Patsy being ill again was just a ploy to side track the deposition of Steve Thomas (?).

Sadly, Elle, from everything I'm hearing from the medical community, this "recovery" stuff is just whistling in the dark. Once the chemo is stopped, the cancer will return if indeed she has this cancer, and I believe she does.

I think some of the weight is from the chemo. I've read where some kinds of cancer drugs cause excessive swelling and this looks like weight gain, when in fact it's not.

I asked a medical pro on a forum why they wouldn't do surgery to remove the cancer spots from Patsy's liver. She says because at this stage, the cancer is assumed to be in the tissue throughout the liver, even if only microscopically at first, so surgery would only complicate the condition. I hope I related that correctly. Anyhow, maybe you get the idea.

I find John's comments to his church very strange, however. I think this is a sign that they are struggling to deal with what they've done. No way do I believe it would be easier to lose a child to a car wreck in her twenties than to lose a little one in a brutal murder inside your own home, with the killer still on the lose over five years later. This is so indicative of their guilt it's hard to believe they can't see it. His whole family and entire life have been attacked by the "intruder," yet he's more upset by an accident? Or did he love Beth more? Or is he just older and things don't bother him as much nowadays? What's one more dead kid? I can't fathom what on earth he is thinking.

    John Ramsey'speech in Church

There isn't much I could add to your post, MJenn. It all sounds true.

Yes, MJenn, I find John Ramsey's comments in Church to be very strange indeed.

I just copied and pasted this from Websleuths today, and posted it on CN. I never read about this anywhere else ...so I'll just post it here too. just in case someone else missed it. There was no url with this post, so one would need to search for it.

candy (558 posts) 09-May-02, 04:42 PM (CST) "The Globe: John Ramsey's confession " The Globe, 5/26/02: John Ramsey's confession: 50 percent of people think I had something to do with it.

    ************************************

    Synopsis from The Globe

While Patsy Ramsey endured another last ditch chemotherapy treatment, her husband Jonn went to church to talk about JonBenet.

Although he has given interviews to selected TV shows and networks before, he had not stood up in front of a group of ordinary people and talked about the tragedy.

"A Gallup poll showed that more than 50 percent of the world think I had something to do with JonBenet's death, he confessed. I'm not sure why."

Amazingly, Ramsey also told about 100 members of a Sunday school class in Atlanta that the brutal murder was NOT the worst experience of his life. He claims that JonBenet's death was just "a stepping stone", to finding an increased faith and trust in God."

"Ten years ago, my daughter Beth was killed in an auto accident...that was the lowest point of my life. It was also the turning point. I asked "How could God let this happen...I thought I was protected by God.

Ramsey talked for about half an hour and showed few signs of grief as he calmly talked about the deaths of his two daughers.

"I know Satan exists," he told parishoners. (After Beth's death)...he (John) took the advice of a longtime pal and attended a religious retreat in Colorado where he had a "vision" of the Lord... "He was not the meek, longhaired...type, he appeared rugged and strong.

"I knew there was such evil in the world that could do this to a small child. People keep asking me why this happened... I say I don't know.

"The big house, the big bank account, and the job are all gone now, he said with a grin, I look forward to and have hope for the future, for without hope in life, there is only death in front of us.

My reply today, May 10, 2002 (elle)

    Synopsis from The Globe 5/26/02

John Ramsey:"A Gallup poll showed that more than 50 percent of the world think I had something to do with JonBenet's death, he confessed. I'm not sure why."

More than 50% of the world could tell you why, John. The way you manipulated the Boulder Police into giving "you" extra time, because your daughter had just been killed. Had you gone to the Police Station the morning your daughter was found (26 December, 1996) ...when Detective Larry Mason "asked" you to go, 50% of the world may have had more respect for you. Mason made one big mistake he shouldn't have asked you, he should have showed you the way to the Police car.

More than 50% of the world feel they know why you invited the "Contamination Party" ...to do just exactly that, CONTAMINATE THE EVIDENCE!"

Amazingly, Ramsey also told about 100 members of a Sunday school class in Atlanta that the brutal murder was NOT the worst experience of his life. He claims that JonBenet's death was just "a stepping stone", to finding an increased faith and trust in God."

Quite a drastic way to find a stepping stone, John!

"Ten years ago, my daughter Beth was killed in an auto accident...that was the lowest point of my life. It was also the turning point. I asked "How could God let this happen...I thought I was protected by God.

So ..you thought you were one of the chosen ones, John? Join the Club! I personally feel the loss of two daughters in such a drastic way, must be horrific and difficult to bear for any parent, but I have never heard anyone describe the murder of one of their children being a stepping stone to find an "increased faith and trust in God." Who would want this after what happened? This doesn't make any sense to me. I believe your son, John Andrew also said the killer should be forgiven to one of the detectives. AMAZING!!!

    Elle..

...I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

    Re John's comments . . .

When Patsy was pregnant with Burke, John once described a man with a long white beard who came to him in a dream and told him to name the boy "Burke." Now John's dreaming about Fabio.

And since when did they sell their house? I belive they still own the massive one in Vinings and a nice (but different) vacation home in Charlevoix. And they've moved up from the Honda too -- someone spotted Patsy recently in (he believes) a Lexus. Not sure whose car was taken to NIH, but it had GA plates.

JR says 50% of people think they're guilty? Maybe within their families. I'd say on the streets it's about 90%.

I thought Patsy looked fine, beautiful even. But I've always thought she was attractive. I hope she gets through this awful treatment. Must be especially tough not having JB or Nedra around.

    Error (?)

Fedorax, So sorry if I gave you the wrong impression here with my post, when you said "...I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I was just spouting off to John Ramsey. Was this because I said "So ..you thought you were one of the chosen ones, John? Join the Club!" What I meant here was the fact that John thought he was protected by God. Who can really make a claim like this; especially in today's world ... that they are protected by God? Take the World Trade Centre as an example.

No offense to the those of you who are deeply religious. I don't mean it this way. Maybe I'm getting too old for all of this business(?).

I would agree with you about the percentage being higher on the street .

I do hope Patsy Ramey does recover. I wouldn't wish any type of illness on anyone. I'm not that type of person, but I do get angry when I hear statements made like the ones John Ramsey made when he condoned his six year old daughter cavorting on the stage in Zeigfield Follies' outfits ... giving provocative looks to an audience which could contain pedophiles, who go there to ogle small children. What type of man would want his young daughter up there behaving like that?

    I agree Fedora

Apparently JR doesn't realize most people only have one house, if that. The poor destitute thing. Reminds me of when poor OJ had to scrape by on the paltry $25,000 per month pension he gets from the NFL.

How in the hell do you have one daughter killed in an ugly car wreck, then have the second one sexually assaulted and murdered, and still go around telling people you're "protected by God?" Sounds to me like quite the opposite.

Yeah and why does everything have to be part of some religious vision? These people can't even name their own kid without assigning it religious significance. Remember when Jonbenet's ghost appeared to Auntie Pam while Pam sat on the swing in the back yard?

I guess John believes HE'S the important one in that family. Everyone else is just there to promote him. In life and in death. What's really important is that his dead children provided HIM with opportunities to grow.... That they never got to live and grow...not important. HE'S the bomb in this show!

And poor Patsy...her close brushes with death don't seem to rank too high with him, either. Wonder if she even got an "honorable mention" in his list of tragedies? Maybe in the TOP TEN? Right behind "Losing My CEO Status"?

Yes...John is important to John, alright...

...for some reason I have no trouble believing Patsy might cover for someone else...but I do have trouble picturing the universe where John Ramsey would risk prison or the death sentence for anyone on earth.

If you're looking for John's kindness, high-morals, and willingness to sacrifice...let us for a moment harken back on all that "grace, charity, and brotherhood" he exhibited on the LKL show when he and Patsy answered to Steve Thomas.

Steve Thomas looked ernest and concerned:

    <img src="http://www.forumsforjustice.org/images/thomas.jpg">

John and Patsy were poster people for the law firm of Snyde, Connem, and Smirke:

    <img src="http://www.forumsforjustice.org/images/johnandpatsy.jpg">

John may just believe that he's protected by his own personal diety because it's nearly "miraculous" that both he and Patsy are not in prison.

    Yet.

    Gotcha, Elle!

I did think you were saying that you had lost two children too, and that surprised me to not have known that before -- I do miss a lot here, so it's possible there were whole threads I skipped over where you were giving out horrid details and I was oblivious. I'm so pleased that's not the case, and I get now what you meant. We had a poster on another forum who'd lost two children and that was heartbreaking for everyone.

Terrible topic for Mother's Day, sorry, gang.

And Happy Mother's Day to you, too, Patsy, wherever you are. I have no doubt this will be a tough 24 hours for you. But it will also be a tough day for Linda Hoffman-Pugh, Priscilla White, Janet McReynolds and some of your other victims who will have the day to think about how mothering should be and about what went wrong with a Mother Gone Bad.

    You absolutely nailed them, Dun.

That would be hilarious reverse speech, Green, if it wasn't so true....

And I guess Mother's Day for Patsy is something else: memories of that night must accompany a cocktail of mind-numbing drugs.

All those bus victims probably don't get a second thought, however. When you're God's Special People, what's a little murder in the family? And those sinners who have to be sacrificed for the CHOSEN ONES...well, they just deserve it, don't they? Anything for the Special People....

    Sacrificial lambs, indeed.

    I must be more careful

    Fedorax,

I must be more careful with what I say in future.
    So easy to be misinterpreted.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone out there. I was just saying on another site, we mothers don't need
a special day to remind us of our children, do we?
