Candlelight Birthday Service for Rachel Cooke

A candlelight prayer service was held at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, Rachel Cooke's 20th birthday, on the Square in Georgetown. The date also marks four months since Rachel was abducted while jogging near her Williamson County home.

The Cooke family invited all of Rachel's friends and everyone who has come to know her in the past four months to attend this celebration of her life and to renew their commitment to bringing her home.

    Candles

It was windy and took a while to get all candles lit, but where there is a will, there is a way and eventually most candles remained lit.

    Prayer Service

Rachel's Uncle David gave a lovely prayer for Rachel, leaving her in God's hands. Several family members supported each other as emotions took hold.
