Debunking the Seven Pieces of "Evidence" That "Prove" the Intruder Theory.

In the book, <i>The Death of Innocence</i> John Ramsey states that:
    Fair enough, John.

Let's examine the <b>seven pieces of "evidence" </b>that John Ramsey said were left by the mysterious intruder:

(John Ramsey from <i>The Death of Innocence</i>, pg 372-374, hc.)

<strike><b>1. <i>DNA evidence.</i></b> Foreign DNA was found under JonBenet's fingernails. some prosecutors have described this evidence as a "problem." I look at it as a huge clue, and I'm grateful we have it. If JonBenet fought with her killer, she may have given us his DNA, which will ultimately be his downfall. In addition, the DNA from the stain found on JonBenet's underwear cannot be identified. The police have these test results, and we can only hope that they are checking all possible suspects against this generic fingerprint. Our belief is that this DNA belongs to the killer.</strike>

<b><i>According to Dr. Henry Lee, and Barry Scheck, the Ramsey murder case is categorically not a DNA case. The DNA in question is "degraded"…not complete…not admissible as an identifier.</i></b>

<b>2. <i>The cord and the duct tape.</i></b> The police thoroughly attempted to find more of these two items in our house, without success. Because we think the killer carefully planned what was to be a kidnapping, it is our belief that he brought the cord and duct tape with him, knowing that he couldn't count on finding similar material in our house. After the crime, the police checked through all the ashes in our fireplace in the living room, even removing the bottom of the fireplace and checking the bin beneath it in an effort to make sure that we or someone else hadn't attempted to dispose of any cord or tape in our fireplace. They found nothing.

<b><i>The police found nothing. It is a logical fallicy to attempt to prove a negative.</b></i>

<strike><b>3. <i>The pubic hair found on JonBenet's blanket.</i> </b>We have been lead to believe this hair doesn't match anyone in the family or anyone whom we know who may have ever slept on JonBenet's bed. The Boulder police have this evidence, and only they are in a position to do further testing. Obviously, it is a highly significant piece of evidence. If there is DNA in the pubic hair, does it match that found on JonBenet's clothing and under her fingernails.</strike>

<b><i>The hair has been identified as belonging to Patsy Ramsey.</i></b>

<strike><b>4. <i>The ransom note.</i></b> Considered earlier and throughout [Death of Innocence] the note was written by the killer and remains an extremely important clue. An adequate amount of handwriting samples from the killer should conclusively tie him to the long and rambling note. With the volume of samples the police have obtained of both Patsy's and my handwriting, they should have been able to definitely identify either of us as the author. They cannot, because we were not the author. When the right suspect is sampled, the same volume of testing will be part of what sends this creature to the gallows.</strike>

<b><i>Patsy Ramsey has never been ruled out as the writer of the ransom note.

There are many sources that attest to this, we'll quote from just one.</i></b>

According to Steve Thomas in an interview with Patrick Riley of Fox News in May of 2001:<ol> <b>Steve Thomas:</b> I think the most compelling evidence is the pen from within the home that was used to write the note — Patsy's pad from which the note came ... and then the handwriting analysis and the forensic linguistics.

And one of what we call QD guys — questions, document examiners — the one with the state lab, we took to him the handwriting of 73 potential suspects in this case and after his analysis of all that, out of those 73 there was only one person whose handwriting showed evidence to suggest authorship of that ransom note, and that same person we could put in the house at the time of the killing, and that same person can't be eliminated as the author even by the defense-paid experts. And that person is Patsy Ramsey.

Beyond that ... Vassar professor Don Foster, who the FBI used as an expert to help identify Ted Kaczynski as the Unabomber and who the FBI continues to use as an expert consultant to the Federal Bureau, is absolutely convinced and wrote a report to this effect that [Patsy Ramsey] was the sole author of the ransom note.

<b>Fox Bookmark:</b> You also talk about how she even changed her handwriting in post-murder handwriting samples.

<b>ST:</b> Which I think is telling. I mean, according to Don Foster, out of all the writings and suspects from whom we obtained exemplars, she was the only one, post-homicide, that Foster felt and could clearly show either disguised or altered ... handwriting preferences. And it did not seem that I could get our District Attorney's office to grasp that concept. ... An innocent person, in my humble opinion Pat, has no reason to alter handwriting preferences when police are looking at an innocent person. </ol>
<strike><b>5. <I>The stun gun.</I></b> We believe the stun gun was manufactured by Air Taser. This manufacturer requires the purchaser to register his name, and the police should have obtained a list of all the buyers. How many people do you know who won a stun gun? None? It's not a commonly owned device.</strike>

<b><i>There has never been any proof whatsoever that a stun gun was used in the commission of the murder of JonBenet Ramsey. Most reliable evidence points to the contrary.

However, it is true that John Ramsey refused when he was asked if he would be willing to exhume JonBenet's body to check for several small marks which only the Ramseys and Lou Smit have said could possibly have been administered by a stun gun.<i></b>

<strike><b>6.<I>The palmprint.</I></b> A palm print was found on the cellar door where I found JonBenet. We know the print did not match Patsy's or my palmprints and remains unidentified, as far as we know. It is still possible that this print could match someone who had a reasonable explanation for being in the basement and mean nothing. At the same time, it could be an important clue.</strike>

<b><I>The palmprint means nothing. It has been identified as belonging to Melinda Ramsey.</I></b>

<strike><b>7.<I>The footprint by JonBenet's body.</I></b> In the basement room where I found JonBenet, a fungus like mildew grew on the floors and walls due to the moist climate of the room. This room had no windows and was concrete on four sides and on the ceiling. Next to JonBenet's body the killer, I believe, left a clear footprint made by the sole of a Hi-Tec hiking shoe, from the area at the heel where the brand name was stamped. The markings are clear and should further help identify the killer.</strike>

<b><i>The Hi-Tec footprint has been identified as belonging to Burke Ramsey.<i></b>

    <hr>

<b><i>So…now what is left of the intruder theory?

Only that the authorities have not been able to identify the tiny square of duct tape that John Ramsey himself took from JonBenet's mouth when he disturbed the crime scene by moving her body...nor have the authorities been able to identify the highly generic cord that very loosely bound JonBenet's wrists and was used as a ligature to choke the life from the helpless six-year-old.

However we must remember: Pam Paugh was allowed by the Boulder Police Department to visit the house, the scene of the crime, right after the Christmas murder, and remove many objects…including, at John Ramsey's specific request, his cavernous golf bag...which was leaning against the wall of the crime scene room.

No one knows what exactly Pam removed from the house on Fifteenth Street, but she had a specific list of items to retrieve, a list written by John and Patsy Ramsey.

John...I believe that there is a little trouble with your original intruder proof....could you please get back to us regarding your list?

I'm afraid that there are some serious problems with it and the with the intruder theory.</i></b>

    as for the eighth facade

That forum over there, hir firum.....everything is gone and removed as of this afternoon. All that's left is a couple of threads on the daily skank by hir hirself basically saying, "what's happened, I don't know what shut down, good thing we're getting revamped in a few days. post what you want to say here".

What happened is she removed everything that we have pointed out as a pack of lies over the last week. She knows the world reads here and she doesn't want people going over there, looking at her fables now that she is proven WRONG!

That's how brilliant hir is, Kelly

she thinks by removing the offending posts she is in the clear, even though everyone and his brother has copied the posts and saved them, including, probably, law enforcement officials.

Hir day is coming. Karma's a beech.

BTW, Dunvegan, another superior post. The Ramseys are reaching critical mass, melt-down can't be far behind. All the so-called intruder evidence the Ramseys have hidden behind all these years never was credible evidence. It doesn't matter how many times their harpies repeated it, there was nothing of substance there - not the hair, not the footprint, not the handprint, not the miniscule, degraded, and unrelated DNA, surely not the non-existent stun gun, and not a packing peanut. I don't think many were taken in by that propaganda, but all those red herrings thrown out by the Ramseys and their high-dollar lawyers intimidated the Boulder wimps.

I keep thinking something might be coming down the pike and these leaks are only the forerunner of things to come, deliberately being put out there as some kind of psychological game the authorities are playing before they spring the big one. Wishful thinking on my part, perhaps, but hey, stranger things have happened.

A Picture of the Basement "Wine Cellar" Door

    <img src="http://www.forumsforjustice.org/images/golfclubs.jpg">

The scene outside the room where JonBenet's body was found.

This picture shows how convienent the golf club bag was as a disposal site for anyone who had extra cord and/or duct tape of which to rid themselves.

No matter if it was an intruder or not, why would John Ramsey demand his golf clubs in the dead of winter within a day or so of the murder of JonBenet?

If the perp threw any evidence in there, wouldn't John Ramsey by asking for his clubs (in the dead of winter) possibly disturb evidence?

    John...what were you thinking?

I'm afraid I'm sentencing you to re-read John Douglas' <i>Manhunter</i> again until you get it right....

This is the grate that the intruder was supposed to have crawled down through...

    ...and left zero trace evidence:

    <img src="http://www.forumsforjustice.org/images/grate.jpg">

Even a "size 4" couldn't slither through this grate without disturbing a "grate" deal...nor could anyone slip through this awkward slot without leaving something behind.

At the very least they would have left a hair...a footprint...a palmprint.

But, now we know that there was nothing at all left by anyone from outside the Ramsey household at the murder scene.

And that makes far better sense.

    Great topic,

Has anyone heard where or if loose smitzie is or has been all this time. Has he been contacted about this new stuff just revealed. And another thought, he proposed all of his theories last summer. Correct? Do you think that the police then knew of the matches for the boot print and the palm print then? And if so why didn't they just say it then? Why do you suppose this great stuff is being revealed right now? Do you think something IS coming down the Pike? Oh wouldn't that be great!

With the recent conviction of Westerfield, do you think the climate has changed so that the BPD and the DA's office in Boulder will finally proceed with a case against the Ramseys? Is that what this is all about. The climate of guilty finally and once and for all.

    nope

can't be a male hair if it belongs to the Patster.

    Why not, Texan?

I always thought there was more testosterone in Patsy Ramsey then there was in, say JR or Lin Wood. She's sure got a set of gonads on her big enough to choke Lin's horse.

    OK, get serious here!

That is a picture of Patsy's gonads I don't want to see...

However, keeping in mind I know NOTHING about cancer treatments, hysterectomies or hormones...

I remember the DNA in the panties and nails being classified as male.

I clearly and completely remember the R's TV appearances, right after little Jon Benet was killed - Patsy had a pretty dang good mustache going. Is that (ha!) the hair they found? Did it cause her to have stray, rampantly growing hairs everywhere? Would they test as male? I know hormone replacement based on horse urine - males? Anyway, would any of this affect any of that?

And does anyone remember seeing Patsy Ramsey leaving the "Hell Hole" on that horrible Christmas night with her coat over her head? Any pictures of it? Local news would have been the source.

    she may have a moustache

but her DNA is all female. You have your dna from the beginning of your life and hormone replacement therapy doesn't change the dna.

I'm not sure what or how hormones are produced but I do know that there are hormones available with a minute amount of testosterone in with the estrogen and it is supposed to ....uh....make a woman interested in .....uh....you know...sex again. Whooppee!

I'm glad you asked. I remember seeing the news footage of the Ramseys leaving their house on the afternoon of Dec. 26th, 1996. The camera was shooting from the front of the house (east side) and it was pointed south to the path that the Ramseys took from around the south to front of the house. Patsy indeed had her coat pulled up above her head and her face shielded. That was the first thing I saw on JonBenet's murder and my very first impression was that whoever that lady was looked like she was hiding something. That was the only time I saw that footage, and I was in Corpus Christi, Tx at the time and saw it on television there.

    zoomama...you asked

...what's new with Lou Smit? I just found this article:

    July 28, 2002

Renowned local detective inspires fictional crime-solver

    By Leslie Weddell
    The Gazette

The lead gumshoe in the Sam and Vera Sloan mystery series might seem familiar to readers in Colorado Springs: He's based on Lou Smit, the local police detective who rose to national fame for his work on a real detective story, the murder of JonBenet Ramsey.

Author Robert Wise was impressed when he met Smit and struck by the way Smit lives his Christian faith and the role it plays in his detective work.

They met in Atlanta (where the Ramseys now live): Smit was working on the Ramsey case and Wise was ghost-writing John and Patsy Ramsey's book, "The Death of Innocence."

Wise, an Episcopal archbishop and the author of more than 25 books, decided to base the lead character in his mystery series on Smit. "I saw in him a truly Christian person," Wise said. "He was living out his faith in his job as a detective."

Wise's series is published by the Nashville-based Thomas Nelson Publishers. In "The Dead Detective," the second book in the series, Sam Sloan is on the trail of an international money-laundering scheme and presumed dead after a mysterious plane crash.

It's up to Vera, his wife and a novice private investigator, to discover the truth. Vera turns to her faith in God to lead her through her grief and ultimately solves the case. (The first book is "The Empty Coffin," the third, "Deleted!" is to be published this winter.)

Smit, who joined the Colorado Springs Police Department in 1966, always has prayed for assistance when working on a case. "I've got a great partner," Smit says, pointing upward. He also visits the victim's grave, offering a prayer of thanks, upon a conviction. "I can never do these things by myself," he says. "I have to ask for help."

Most detectives aren't "hard-core, mean, bust-'em-in-the-teeth types of guys," Smit says. Instead, they are people of faith, integrity and public service. He allowed the Sloan character to be based on him because he wanted to offer a good image of police officers and detectives.

An unsolved case is always an open issue for the victim and their family, says Smit, a father of four. Although retired, Smit still works on the Ramsey case on his own time and volunteers in the Sheriff's Office to work on cases.

"I figure, maybe I can solve the case, make a parent's day. Even 20 years down the road, I can stand up for the victim. Because the evidence is all there, in the case."

And what does wife Barb Smit think of the detective series? "She's a quite wonderful, lovely person," Smit says. "She's the perfect policeman's wife. And this book is his (Wise's) interpretation of our life. So my wife, she just says, 'Hey.'"

I wonder how many innocent non-Christians God helped Lou Smit put in jail? And, by the same token, how many guilty "good Christians" God told Lou they couldn't possibly have killed anyone? I guess only God and Lou know that...

And, BTW, I'm begining to wonder just who suggested Lou Smit to DA Hunter - couldn't have been the Ramsey's lawyers could it?

I was thinking exactly the same thing as you about Lou Smit and who had initially recommended him for the Ramsey Investigative Team.

That's a really good guess, e.g. the Ram's lawyer. I think Lou was "in with the bricks", so to speak, for a whole lot longer than any of us ever knew.

BTW, I really admire your objectivity.

    Dun and all,

I knew you would be here working hard and keeping the fate of JonBenet's killer alive. Thank you!!!

I have looked and looked at the spot on JonBenet's face that the slum-lord calls a stun gun mark. I disagree. Look at the big diamond on Patsy's left hand. I believe if the two ( the spot on JonBenet's face and Patsy's diamond were studied that they would match. I believe Patsy lost it and backhanded JonBenet, causing her to fall and crack her head 8 1/2 inches on something in JonBenet's bathroom.

As far as the DNA goes. There were something like 30 guest at the Ramsey home 2 days before the 25th. How many of those 30 guest used the bathrooms in that house? JonBenet could have sat down after a male guest used the same toilet, thus getting a small amount of male dna on her hands, (kids hold on to the commode seat since they are so small) when JonBenet wiped she could have transferred the dna to her panties.

We all know that Patsy would not have clean the toilets in that house between the 23rd and the 25th. I feel the dna is a non-issue.

Also, I believe the cord that the garrote was made with could have been parachute cording. Go to yahoo and type in Parachute cord and take a gander at some of the photos of the cording they use on parachutes. Naturally John had been at the airport practically all day the 25th. He could have brought a strand of the parachute cord enouch to make a garrotte with, home with him.

I also believe that Patsy and John could both be prosecuted with the present evidence. I believe that 12-honest people that would make up the jury would see through the Ramsey's lies.

John, according to Steve's book, took 2-valium with alcoholic beverages at the Hearns the evening of the 26th and they did not even faze him. Paul Newman's soon did not die of an overdose of valium. He died because he took valium with alcohol and the mixture of the two stopped his respitory system. When you mix valium and alcohol it is like shooting liquid valium into a vein. Yet, John expects us to believe he took a simple over the counter sleep aid that knocked him out for the night. I don't believe that a person who can take two valium with alcohol and still walk around could be knocked out by one over the counter sleep aid.

Dun, thank you for your dedication and please forgive me for being away for so long at a time. It is not by choice. I promise.

    Luv to you all.

And while I am thinking about it. The slumlord had a thread several months back titled, "DO You See What I See?" On the top of that thread was a picture of JonBenet's bed with a pink pajama top turned inside out. I do agree with the slum lord in that I believe it is the same top JonBenet had on the morning of the 25th.

All that told me is that JonBenet did not make it to bed herself that fateful night. What parent would tuck a child "in real tight" and not remove pajamas that were left from that morning?

The the slumlord also posted a picture on another thread some months back that showed JonBenet on her last photo shot sitting inside the rope that was found in a sack in JR's room. The same rope Patsy denied ever seeing.

I sure hope the slumlord keeps posting these little ditties.
