For Immediate Release January 7. 2003 Friday, January 10th, will mark one year since 19-year-old Rachel Cooke disappeared while jogging near her Georgetown home. The Cooke family will observe the date by dedicating a tree in her honor. The ceremony will take place at Georgetown High School, 2211 N. Austin Ave., at 5:00 p.m. Family members and friends will write messages to Rachel on yellow ribbons and hang them on the tree. If anyone of the forum wants a ribbon tied on for them, please let me know.
