Smit is being deposed today in this case (for the defense).

Fleet White will be deposed on Friday, the 11th.

Here is a timeline post, along with editorial comments from M.Jenn at WS. MJenn has graciously given permission to have her post carried over here. (And she says HI! to everyone):

    "Wolf Suit Trivia"
Not being a lawyer, I can't decipher all this too well, but for what it's worth to case wonks like me, here are the last listed filings in the Wolf suit. Of interest? Smit's depo to be taken is for the defense--duh. And (12/28/01 51) Thomas has included a VIDEO TAPE in his SECOND motion for a protective order--the judge denied the first one. Think it's a tape of Lin Woodypecker slandering Thomas on TV with spin from Thomas' sealed depo? About darn time.
And what's that stuff about Hunter's depo? Sealing it or designating it as "confidential"? I hope after both civil trials are over or settled or dismissed this all becomes public record. If I were a rich person, I'd be suing left and right to get those files released under the FOI Act. Including the murder case files in Boulder--under the reasoning that the principal legal system agencies involved have breached more than one instance of unethical behavior as defined by the ABA, behavior ignored and buried by the Colorado legal system as fast as they can shovel. JMO, duh.

Defendents? That means Lou Smit is being deposed by the Ramseys and not Darnay? I wonder why Darnay isn't deposing Smit. I wonder why the Ramseys are. What can he do except give his opinions that are not based on evidence?

12/31/01 52 Notice of Designation of confidential testimony by
    movant Alexander Hunter . (jph)

Hunter's testimony is going to be confidential. Why? If Lou Smit's testimony will be released, why not Hunter's? Hunter is not involved in any lawsuits of his own like ST is. I don't get it. Could his excuse be that his testimony could hurt the ongoing case? So could Smit's testimony - and it has already.

I wish someone would explain stuff to me.

    Thanks LurkerXIXLKXLKXL

and I agree with you WY (first time I think).

What does Mr. Loulou have that hasn't been made public knowledge other than his opinion???? and why can't the others be made public? Hiding something??????

I think the depo on Friday will be more interesting......am waiting anxiously for that one.

    Me too Sparky

Loose Mitts is a turd as far as I'm concerned. Maybe a nice man but a turd. This is just my opinion so nobody blast me for it.

Fleet's is the one that would be of interest but I wonder if his would be made public. Something tells me no.

    WY, I haven't a clue....

Lou Smit is being deposed in favor of the defense (the Rams and Linny). I can't imagine what he could have to say to defend them on allegations of slander against Wolf. We will have to wait and see.

Ditto for Fleet White. What can he add to this stew?

When I get more enlightenment....I'll pass it on. Others are following this matter very closely.

Rams and Wood should quit while they're ahead. JMHO.

    Smitsit

Perhaps Darnay wants to review Smitsit's depo and then depose him for the other side? Discovery has been extended - right? Maybe NYL feels it's valueless testimony and won't be allowed at trial? Perhaps he figures he can counteract any testimony once at trial? IHMO, Darnay knows most of us don't buy into Smitsit's theory. All he has to do is show the Smitsit picture (below) and the testimony that the window casing was covered with dust per the BPD and Smit's credibility drops like a lead balloon (again, IMHO.) Also, to my knowledge the window casing held no fibers or prints and anyone looking at the picture knows that's simply not possible if a perp (or anyone) came through that window.

Where the "L" is NYL when we need him?

    JR...I miss NYL, too,

But right now he's up to his cute ears in depositions and other work, work, work.

Angel, It's time to do the Smitty Samba! Find an open window near you and let's go...1-2-3-4 and 5-6-7-8....Dip, and turn. Keep your tushie off the sill!

    Depos

Any more news on these depos? Has the summary judgment been issued, and has the trial date been set?

    NYL, where are you?
