Attempted kidnapping reported in Round Rock

    The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who attempted to kidnap a woman near her home early Thursday morning.

    Authorities say a 45-year-old woman was walking with her dog when a man in a car asked her for directions. He had a gun and demanded that she get into the car.

    The attempted kidnapper is described as white, 6' to 6' 2" tall, weighing about 200 pounds. He is approximately 30 to 35-years-old, with short, light brown hair that is spiked on top. He was clean shaven. He has green eyes and a small cut on his lower lip.

    He was driving a white Honda Accord with a light tan leather interior.

    The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information on the incident to call 512-943-1300.

    This happened in Williamson County, less than 23 miles from where Rachel Cooke was abducted.

    I chose to post this on Rachel's site because it may be the lead we need to bring Rachel home. If not, it does tell us that Williamson County is developing a problem and something needs to be done about it. This is not the first attempted abduction in the 18 months since Rachel disappeared.
