Default Attempted kidnapping stopped by sisters

    9/30/2003 10:03 PM
    By: News 8 Austin Staff

Police are looking for a man two teenage girls said tried to assault and kidnap them in Cedar Park. This follows two attempted kidnappings a week apart back in April.

Tuesday afternoon's assault and attempted kidnapping happened at about 2:20 p.m. near the intersection of Buttercup Creek Boulevard and Highway 183.

The 14 and 15-year-old sisters said the man approached them from behind, grabbed them in a headlock style hold, and said, "you're coming with me."

The girls struggled and tried to get away. One of them showed the man a pocket knife, and he let go of them.

    The girls were not harmed.

Witnesses said they saw a man who matched the same description near the area.

Anyone with information, is asked to call Cedar Park Police at (512) 259-3600.
