Important

Since this thread is getting a lot of activity, I want to post this here so that people are aware the Williamson County Sheriff's department is looking for this man as a potential witness in the Rachel Cooke case.

Here is a sketch of one of the two guys in a white car noticed in the area the morning Rachel Cooke disappeared.

If you know this man or have any information of him please contact The Williamson County Sheriff's Department at 512-943-1300 or 1-800-253-STOP. He is only wanted for questioning.

Attention: Rachel Cooke Needs Your Letters to AMW

I don't know how many of you here are aware of the case of 19 year-old Rachel Cook, of Georgetown, Texas.

Rachel has been missing since Thursday, January 10, 2002 at about 10:00 a.m., CST when she went for a morning jog near her home in Georgetown.

I believe that Rachel's case could really use some help from John Walsh, and the team at America's Most Wanted.

Please see if you can find a little time in your busy day to drop a quick line to AMW and urge them to consider featuring Rachel's case.

To email your letter go to:
    http://www.americasmostwanted.com/site/contactus.html

    Snail Mail goes to

    America's Most Wanted
    P.O. Box CrimeTV
    Washington, DC 20016-9126

I would suggest doing both e-mail and snail mail, if you have the time. Also, please sign your real name on the actual e-mail and snail mail to AMW, as well.

This young lady and her family could use all the assistance they can get. Let's see if we can generate enough interest at AMW to take on Rachel's cause.

JR has been contributing tirelessly, both in the debriefing room and in the field, to the search for Rachel, along with the Texas EquuSearch Mounted Search and Rescue Team.

The following description comes from JR's post to our Missing Persons Fourms: News Reports and Information on Missing People/Missing Persons Forum.

Clothing: green sports top, gray sweat pants, Adidas shoes and carrying a yellow Walkman

Last seen: Rachel was home from college when she disappeared while she was out on her morning jog.

Information is being sought from 2 young men, approximately 17-21 years of age, who were reportedly in the area the morning Rachel disappeared. They were driving an older model white Camaro or TransAm with a black stripe at the bottom.

Please call the Williamson County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-253-STOP if you have any information about RACHEL COOKE

Or, call Texas Equusearch at 281-309-9500 FAX: 281-534-6719

    Thank you Dun

I have already sent my comments on Rachel's case to AMW and do hope they will get involved.

For those who have not visited our thread on Rachel recently, you may want to read the post by Rachel's dad, which explains how Rachel's abduction has impacted the Cooke family.

Rachel's family has spent many, many long days at command center for the search. Unfortunately, the active physical search has stopped but you can help by urging AMW to get involved, by contributing to the reward fund, by joining Equuasearch as a member or making a donation to their non-profit entity and by printing out and posting the flyers of Rachel in your area.

You may also want to continue to check the thread on Rachel, because I know many of us will not give up this search until Rachel is home. I believe there will be additional organized searches and will keep you informed as I hear of them. I am sure Robert Cooke will as well.

    Reminding all that Rachel Cooke...

...still really needs our letters on her behalf to AMW.

Please help in the effort to bring Rachel Cooke home.

    Dear John Walsh,

Every week America's Most Wanted tries to reunite missing people with their loved ones. Many times the news is not good when a person turns up missing.

However there is still help for Rachel Cooke.

If you could please find just a few seconds to post the information concerning Rachel's disappearance it could help bring her home.

As America's Most Wanted has proven time and time again, it only takes one person, one phone call, to make a difference.

Thank you so much for your consideration.

    Sincerely

    Tricia

    Dear Mr. Walsh,

Though I mentioned the Rachel Cooke case in a previous letter to you, I would like to address it specifically here. This case is near and dear to me because this case happened in my own hometown. We have yet to find Rachel and continue to hold out hope that we do find her and bring her home very soon. Rachel's case history has been posted on the America's Most Wanted web site. In my opinion, showing Rachel's case on your show can only bring more focus to it and hopefully help in the search for Rachel as well as the person who abducted her. Please help us reunite Rachel with her family by finding a few minutes to outline her case on your show. That one phone call or tip your show could prompt someone to make could have a significant impact the search for Rachel Cooke.

Rachel's case is also being tracked at www.forumsforjustice.org.

Thank you in advance for your consideration of Rachel's case.

    Sincerely

    Jacqueline L. Riggs

    AMW

Finally received a reply from AMW today. Let's pray they give the Rachel Cooke case some exposure and at least help locate the potential witness.

    Unsolved Mysteries

Both the Cooke family and I have contacted Unsolved Mysteries asking for their help on The Rachel Cooke case. For those who are inclined, it might be helpful to have other requests that the Cooke case be presented on their show. The web site has a pop-up box for email here:
