First my apologies for this taking so long. My fault. I have been in and out of town and swamped with work.

    Here is the deal.

Professional Audio Laboratories in N.Y. did some work on the 911 tape. This is a very reputable lab.
    www.proaudiolabs.com

Mr. Paul Ginsberd did the actual work.

He used a Lab CD player and load distortion headphones plus state of the art forensic digital enhance equipment. He can minimize the noise in real time.

What Mr. Ginsberg did not have were two things.

The original 911 tape. We had a copy of a copy of a copy. Mr. Ginsberg was very hesitant when I told him what generation copy he would be listening to. He said it would be almost impossible to pull anything new. But he did :)

Second Mr. Gingsberg did not have the "robot" that spade posted about. Remember the robot? It that takes days and days to slowly lift out sound and contain sound to determine if anything could have been added or deleted at a certain point.

I'll post my info from him now then comment at the end of the letter.

I have posted before that Mr. Ginsberg did hear the "help me Jesus" at the end of the tape. Now I have it in writing.

This proves that what Lin Wood said, "It's not Patsy, It's not Burke, "it's not John." at the end of the tape is false.

Remember on the Today Show Katie started talking over the typing at the end. Even before the "help me Jesus" had started.

Also remember 48 Hours refused to air the tape because there was something at the end of the tape.

It's really there. We were not crazy.

What Mr. Ginsberg did not hear unfortunately was Burke or John. He is not surprised. He warned me. This generation of copy is like mud basically. Also he did not pick up any editing attempts. However like I said earlier he did not have the same robot that was used earlier. Plus this was a different tape. By that I mean the same tape that came from the D.A.'s office just not the same tape that Spade used in his lab.

I was hoping to hear Burke and John's voice but I will say I am pleased at what the results were.

If Lin Wood and the Today Show lied about something being on the end of the tape that it's very reasonable to assume that it was to cover up something. Now why would they want to cover up a distraught mother saying, "Help me Jesus?" Because. There is more to the "help me Jesus" than they want us to know.

I am certain Keenan made Lin Wood go home and change his underpants the day she announced she was releasing the tape. It was shortly after that Lin Wood shut the hell up about the tape.

Did he even mention the 911 tape in his lawsuit against Fox?

It was a pricey bit of work but to me well worth it. Well worth it.

I made it a bit easier for Lin Wood to read. You know when you hang around race horses and love them like Lin does the fumes get to you sometimes. heh.

    My Dearest Tricia!

How can we thank you? I know you went to a whole lot of trouble and expense getting this done. And now that we have confirmed from a MERE 3rd generation recording that there is more at the beginning AND ending of the tape than has ever been disclosed publicly, it lays foundation for demand upon the officials in this case to further test the original tape and to publicly disclose ALL of the dialog in it. The RST's claims that no such dialog exists just flew out the window, thanks to you! Way to poke that stick through LW's cage bars, Tricia!!

I never had any doubt. I can hear that Help me, Jesus, with my own ears on the tape, and so could anyone else if they'd really listen instead of living in denial. Now it's official, and Lin Wood is full of it clear up to his ears.

This expert does not come cheap, but Tricia puts her money where her mouth is, unlike the people who choose to do nothing but criticize her and her efforts. She's got it in black and white from a respected expert.

Thanks, Tricia. But, like I said, I never doubted it.

    Wonderful News!

    "Hon, we need em."

That's all I needed to hear. If I ever had any doubts about my opinion on Patsy - and I didn't - now knowing that John had to have asked her why she was calling 9-1-1 after reading what would happen to their daughter if they did - I stand taller in my convictions for a conviction.

Thank you Professional Audio Laboratories - PAL for short indeed!

    RR

Oh yeah - and to that fearless leader of ours again -

    Thanks for the report, Tricia.

Well, Mr. Wood has been caught in one of his many lies.

Patsy is definitely there on the end of the tape, talking after she thought she had hung up.

RR, couldn't the "Hon, we need 'em. Police" have been part of Patsy's plea to the 911 operator?

I think she was talking to Burke.

    Bonita

I want to post this excerpt from the Bonita Papers again because IMO it is the TRUTH.

After re-listening to the recording of the 911 call made by Patsy in the early morning of December 26, detectives thought they could hear a conversation in the background while Patsy was attempting to hang up the phone. On April 21, Detective Melissa Hickman flew to Los Angeles to meet with Mike Epstein and Jim Roeder, engineers at Aerospace Corporation, for purposes of enhancing the recording of the 911 call received at the Boulder Regional Dispatch Center.

At her first meeting with the three engineers, Hickman was told that it appeared that the cassette had been recorded in a Dictaphone format which would require a special recorder to recopy. Hickman drove to the nearest Dictaphone company which was located in the San Fernando Valley. A Dictaphone technician examined the tape and told Hickman that the information was not recorded in Dictaphone format. Hickman, feeling the frustration of the proverbial goose chase, returned to her hotel.

That evening, Roeder called her at the hotel and asked her to return to Aerospace. Roeder had decided that the tape probably had been recorded on a regular format which could be copied digitally by their computer. A hard drive disk was made of the tape, and this disk was copied to a JAZ drive, a large disk with more memory than a standard floppy disk.

On the morning of April 22, Hickman met again with Roeder in his office at Aerospace. The detective and the engineer went to a small lab to work with the disk to try to filter out extraneous noise and enhance the voices in the background. Roeder made several variations using different noise reduction settings, and those recordings were then copied onto the JAZ drive. They returned to Roeder's office where they were able to further enhance the disk. With this latest enhancement, they were able to hear two voices on the tape one of which sounded like a juvenile male, and the second one appeared to be Patsy. The first words seemed to belong to the juvenile, and then Patsy is heard to say, "Help me Jesus, help me Jesus." The voice again appeared to be the "juvenile male saying, "Please, what do I do?'' Hickman and Roeder agreed to meet again in the morning to continue enhancing the tape.

When Hickman returned to Aerospace the next morning to meet with Roeder, he said that he had continued listening to the disk after Hickman had left for the evening. He and another engineer had played the original version of the 911 call that had been transferred to the JAZ drive and found that to be the clearest recording. Both engineers had heard three distinct voices on the tape and written down that they thought was being said. The tape
was then played for Hickman. After listening to the tape three or four times, Hickman heard John Ramsey say “We’re not speaking to youâ€. In what sounded like a very angry voice. Patsy then says, “Help me Jesus, help me Jesus,†and finally Burke is clearly heard to say, “Well, what did you find?â€; with an emphasis on the word “did.†After Hickman told the engineers her impression of the conversation, Roeder handed her a piece of notepaper containing the conversation heard by himself and his fellow engineer – the conversation as written down was exactly as Hickman herself had just heard.

    Plaskett on the 911 tape

    This article also needs re-posting:

    6/2/1999
Magazine: Lawyer given tape of 911 call
    by B.J.Plasket
    Daily Times-Call
BOULDER — June is already looking a lot like May for the Ramsey grand jurors.
The jury probing the 1996 death of 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey did not hold its semi-regular Tuesday session, while most of the news was being made elsewhere. The jury also skipped several Tuesday sessions last month.
And, much like the events of May, most of Tuesday's news centered on JonBenet's 12-year-old brother Burke, who was nine when she was slain in the family home.
Newsweek, in an edition to be published this week, claims Burke Ramsey 's lawyer was given a copy of the tape of Patsy Ramsey 's 911 call early in the morning of Dec. 26, 1996.
Burke Ramsey reportedly testified before the grand jury nearly two weeks ago and, according to the June 7 edition of Newsweek, Burke's Atlanta-based lawyer, Jim Jenkins, was given a copy of the tape.
Earlier reports said the tape contradicts statements given by JonBenet's parents, John and Patsy, indicating Burke was in bed during the entire ordeal.
An enhanced version of the tape reportedly contains Burke's voice asking questions and the voice of an adult male — presumed to be John Ramsey — telling him to go back to bed.
Analysts and prosecutors have said Burke Ramsey 's testimony could be a key to the now 29-month-old investigation. He is not considered a suspect, police and prosecutors have said.
The Newsweek report said District Judge Roxanne Bailin ordered District Attorney Alex Hunter to turn over a copy prior to Burke's testimony. The article reportedly says Bailin ordered the tape to be turned over because Colorado law allows grand jury witnesses to see copies of earlier statements.
According to the Newsweek article, John and Patsy Ramsey accompanied their son to Boulder for his late May appearance.
While the national spotlight remains on the Boulder County Justice Center, things were abnormally quiet there on Tuesday. Hunter's spokeswoman, Suzanne Laurion, said both Hunter and grand jury specialist Michael Kane were working at mid-day.
Sources have also said Hunter's office will not seek additional funding for the grand jury until late in the month, if it is needed at all.
Assistant District Attorney Bill Wise has traditionally appeared before the county commissioners several weeks before the funding runs out. The county in March funded the probe through the end of June, but sources said he will not return for additional money until the last few days of the month.
The commissioners approved the last appropriation without speaking with Wise. Commissioner Ron Stewart recently said he feels the county must continue funding the probe until the grand jury has done its work, saying, "Now is not the time to raise certain questions, but that time may come when the grand jury is done."

    911 Tape

Thank you for posting the results of the tape analysis. I have had many discussions with a distinguished forensic audio expert and he, more than anything else has influenced my thoughts on the matter. He stated that copies of tapes are like photocopies of photocopies. The quality decreases with each reproduction and anything that is faint with become fainter and may even disappear. Additionally, artefacts can also be introduced which were not on the original.

IMO, only analysis of the original tape is of any real consequence. I consider the cold, hard facts:-

    1. Aerospace analysed the tape with state-of-the-art equipment and the results suggested that a conversation may have taken place between Burke and John.

    2. The FBI and Secret Service analysed the tape and found nothing. However, we know they did not have state of the art equipment (consider the difference between good binoculars and less-good binoculars and how much more you can see with the former).

    3. We know that contrary to the Ramseys' original claims, that Burke WAS awake that morning and that he "pretended" to be asleep - even when his own parents came into his room. I find this rather odd. I can understand a child pretending to be asleep if they are afraid, but surely if Burke were afraid then he would have sought comfort from his parents when they entered his room?

    4. It can be argued that it would be normal behaviour for a 10 year old - who is NOT afraid of his parents - to investigate their shouts (unless shouting was a normal occurrence of course). I would be very interested to hear some input from a child psychologist on this.

    5. Several companies have analysed the 3rd generation tape and the majority consensus is that there is "something" there. Spectrography (which is a major part of forensic audio analysis) can distinguish between voice and non-voice sounds. The experts would therefore be able to say with certainty whether the sounds were mechanical. None of the experts have said that the sounds were mechanical.

    6. Elsewhere, I have seen it reported that digital reproduction will guaranteee a clone. This is not true. Different hardware and software specifications/configurations will alter the data. Computers handle audio in a very similar way to graphics. Try this - if you look at the size of the graphic in File Manager it will say one thing. Open the graphic using a package like Paint Shop Pro and check the image properties and you'll get different information. Upload the graphic to the Internet and check the properties and it will give a third set of information. Audio is no different. Analogue to digital conversation uses "sampling" which by its very nature, eliminates some of the audio. Compression does the same. Digital audio compression can eliminate faint sounds altogether. These are just some reasons why generational copies are less reliable.

    7. When asked by Larry King 'what made the police think that there were voices on the 911 tape?' (paraphrased), Lin Wood suggested that the police made it up. He knew about the Aerospace analysis yet chose not to mention it when asked. That raises questions with me.

My forensic audio expert told me that experts do argue about analyses and at the end of the day, it's a jury decision. I've listened to the 911 tape on different computers and using different headphones and I don't hear it the same way with any two sets of equipment so it's understandable that other posters will hear different sounds.

Until I hear the Aerospace enahnced tape, I will continue to reserve judgement.

I can reserve judgment on everything except Patsy's voice being there saying, "Help me, Jesus," several times. I can hear it very plainly, but it takes some concentration to catch it the first time. After hearing it once, it actually pops out at you the next times you listen to it, and I have listened to it many times. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that it is there, and it is Patsy, not a mechanical voice that sounds like Patsy. I cannot, however, hear either John or Burke on my unenhanced tape.

I have no doubt their voices are on the Aerospace enhanced tape. I don't believe Steve Thomas lied about anything in his book, including that.

Susan Bennett, the woman who (unknown to her former friends the Ramseys) sold the police transcripts of the Ramsey interviews for 40 thousand dollars to the tabs, has an open letter to Paul Ginsberg.

As usual Susan Bennet, the Hickory N.C. "housewife" doesn't have a clue as to what she is talking about.

I won't post the whole letter here because even I don't want to embarrass Susan Bennet that much but I will clear up a few things.

I sent Ginsberg the cassette tape and the CD.

I did post the whole report. I spoke with him on the phone to get the information on what he did not hear. He only wrote in the report about what he did hear.

Where in the world Susan Bennet came up with the idea that I did not post the whole report is a mystery.

One final note. I would advise Susan Bennet to not bother Mr. Ginsberg with obsessive calls and letters. He is not someone who will sit back and take it. Nor will I. One letter. A few questions. Nothing wrong with that other than you are totally wrong.

How much do you want to bet (don't bet me, I'll win) that if it were Steve Thomas or Fleet White at the end of that 911 tape instead of Patsy Ramsey saying "help me, Jesus," jameson and Wood and the rest of the RSTers would hear it just fine. How much do you want to bet that if it were Steve Thomas speaking where John Ramsey and Burke Ramsey are said to be speaking (on the Aerospace-enhanced tape), they would also hear that, even though no one else can hear them, except for the Aerospace people, on the best evidence - the original tape enhanced.

    Wanna bet?

    I didn't think so.

I can't believe how truly dumb Susan Bennett is.

"I guess Tricia didn't bother to tell him that the cassette was made in 1996
and the CD was made in 2003 as part of a larger project. (The BPD started
putting all the 911 calls on CD for more secure storage - - and the Ramsey
    911 call was included.)"

This IDIOT doesn't realize that I have a letter from Bill Nagle stating the original 911 call was put on a cassette. Then that cassette was used to make the CD's and cassettes to send out to those who requested it. This all happened last year when Keenan released the copies.

It's not like they had a bunch of 911 cassettes laying around and just used those. They made the copies of the CDs and cassettes AT THE SAME TIME.

    Jeesh.

Just an observation - there are two posters who are doing their best to discredit Tricia's integrity. Both have failed miserably. It's interesting to watch the dynamics that are at work and compare the twisty and turny reasoning to the way these posters twist and turn the facts in the Ramsey case and the words of other posters.

Susan Bennett says we will still not accept that John's and Burke's voices are not on the tape. She's right. I believe Steve Thomas, not Susan Bennett. I believe the original Aerospace enhanced tape had their voices on it, just like Steve said it did. It is Bennett who ignores the fact that this expert told the truth based on what he had to work with, which was not the same generation of tape Aerospace had to work with. He clearly gave the reason why a tape/CD several generations past the original is not going to give the same results as the original. Yet, Bennett ignores this. He also basically called Bennett's reel-to-reel system crap, LOL. Like, she could compare her rinky dink equipment to his professional, top of the line equipment. Funny how she didn't mention that again. She also didn't mention what the expert did find - Patsy Ramsey's voice at the end of the tape - the voice jameson stated, with conviction, was not there, just as Lin Wood lied and said it was not there.

Another poster is struggling to ruin the Boulder trip. She will fail, also. The two most jealous and vindictive posters on the forums trying to discredit the forum owner with more integrity in her little finger than the two of them have in their whole bodies. Why do they keep embarrassing themselves this way? Don't they have a clue of how small they look?
