Michael Tracey is not having a “happy holiday.†For the lies he has perpetrated we can only hope his karma keeps coming around like it has in the past few weeks.

For whatever reason, Michael Tracey is no longer a columnist for the Rocky Mountain News. We don’t know why he is no longer with the newspaper. Perhaps the Rocky Mountain News didn’t want someone writing about Media Ethics while accusing a totally innocent man of murder in a bogus documentary. Needless to say it’s a good day for media ethics when a man like Michael Tracey no longer has a job with a respected newspaper.

Never one to keep his ego in check, Michael Tracey sent out a press release declaring his “documentary†was to be shown on the CBS news program 48 Hours.

"The documentary will air on the CBS show "48 Hours Mystery" on Dec. 18 and on Court Television in January."

This was news to 48 Hours. Although the program did use a few snippets from Tracey’s “documentary,†it in no way resembled the documentary Tracey showed in Great Britain. In fact, 48 Hours never even MENTIONED Michael Tracey in their show. The main difference is the 48 Hours program never even touched Tracey’s “prime suspect.†Perhaps it’s because 48 Hours did some of their own checking only to find out what that Tracey’s documentary was a crock. It didn’t take FFJ long to find this out and we certainly don’t have the resources 48 Hours does.

We can only imagine Tracey getting ready to watch his work presented on a national network only to realize a few minutes into the program that this was not his documentary. We know he didn’t feel the pain he has caused innocent people with his documentary but maybe a dose of humiliation was enough.

    UPDATE...UPDATE...UPDATE

According to Michael Tracey's press release his wonderful "Documentary" on the JBR case was to be shown on Court TV at the end of January.

"The documentary will air on the CBS show "48 Hours Mystery" on Dec. 18 and on Court Television in January."

The only JonBenet story Court TV ran was on Jan. 23rd. It was called "The Investigators." Not a hint of Michael Tracey's "documentary." I use the word "documentary" loosely. It's really a "crockumentary."

Court TV has no other shows scheduled for the month of January concerning JonBenet.

Don't know why Michael Tracey would put out a press release full of lies when everyone would find out the truth. Then again, Michael Tracey has never been concerned with the truth.
