Does anyone remember seeing an article last year which had Lou SMit and john San Augustin in a group photo? I have this vague memory that it may have been last July/August time. Was it something to do with some affiliation of Private Investigators?
I think there was an article, I don't have time to look right now, but I do have the website handy. http://www.uia-pi.org/UIA-Members.htm
Yep, I have that site bookmarked as well. Smit needs to retire and the rest of them need to find more appropriate jobs to their skill levels, like flipping burgers at Mickie D's.
Thats it Thank you. The group photo is there too. As I recall, there was a newspaper article about them last autumn. Does anyone recall when they formed this new associated company?
According to its website, United Investigative Associates is a conglomeration of 4 separate investigative services. Here are the stats on each, plus UIA, as found at the Colorado Secretary of State’s website. United Investigative Services ID #: 20041065315 Registered Agent: Gary G. Thompson 31 N. Interestingly, according to the above official stats, John San Augustin, David Spencer and Gary Thompson created their own businesses in mid-1997 at the very time Lou Smit was sharing his Power Point Presentation with the Ramsey Grand Jury. Notice also that Mr. Thompson registered a sub-business under his original company in 1997 as well, supervising the probations of low-level felons in the 4th District. The 4th District is governed by the El Paso County court that sits in Colorado Springs. Could this be the intruder cesspool?
This may have been discussed before. It's nothing big, but when I was doing some searches this past weekend I came across this article on Lou Smit's investigation of the murder of Kelsey Grammer' sister.
And this one, just because it mentions Lou's name at the very end. It's (I think) a procedure written about how to investigate a death within the prison system. I just thought it was interesting because a procedure is a procedure is a procedure.
Ok - sometimes I just don't know when to quit!! Sorry. Here are two more items. The first one should be avoided by anyone who is offended by sarcasm involving Lou. http://www.geocities.com/NapaValley/7719/lsjcdet.html And I just found this Smit quote interesting:
Thank you "one and all" for all this valuable information you are providing. You're the best! I don't need a daily newspaper!
