Default Amber alert issued or children missing from site of murders

No leads in Idaho triple slayings, authorities say
COEUR d’ALENE, Idaho - Authorities said on Tuesday afternoon that they have no leads in the murders of three people found slain in an Idaho home. Earlier they issued an Amber Alert in the search for two children who lived at the house, but were no longer there when the bodies were discovered.

"We have no leads, no persons of interest," said Kootenai County Sheriff Rocky Watson. "We’re just doing everything we can early because time is of the essence." The dead were identified Tuesday afternoon as Brenda Groene, mother of the missing children, their teenage brother and an adult male.

Eight-year-old Shasta Groene and her brother Dylan Groene, 9, who lived with their mother were missing from the home east of Coeur d'Alene. Watson said he was hoping a tip from the public will lead to the children.

They were last seen getting off a school bus at their house Monday afternoon, the Web site for the Spokesman-Review newspaper reported Tuesday.

Watson said that finding the children was law enforcement's main concern at this point. He said the county sheriff's office was working with the FBI and other agencies, and had dogs searching in the area near the home, which is about eight miles from town.
It's probably too late to get justice for JonBenét. Maybe it always was. But knowing where things went wrong is the first step to not going there again. **-- Alan Prendergast-Dec 21, 2006--**

Even though the last article stated there were no persons of interest, they questioned one man.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (CNN) -- Authorities interviewed a man they wanted to question in a triple homicide and the disappearance of two children, but said Thursday they are no closer to solving the crime.

Authorities are searching for 9-year-old Dylan Groene and his 8-year-old sister, Shasta. The bodies of their mother, Brenda Groene, and their 13-year-old brother, Slade, were discovered in their home. Also found dead at the scene was Mark McKenzie, 37.

Robert Roy Lutner, 33, allegedly was at the home on Sunday night, the night before the bodies were found.

I thought for sure these two would have been found over the weekend. I think Couerdalene, Idaho, is some our most beautiful country, and one of the prettiest lakes I've ever seen is there.

Nancy Grace is covering this story. Still no leads. Methamphetamine use there has been mentioned several times. Last nite they said the two adults who were killed had foreign drug chemicals in their bodies, but it will be awhile before the exact substance is identified.

It was also said the kids' father failed the polygraph.

    Where are these two children?
