Default MISSING GIRL FOUND - Brother not located yet

    Missing Idaho girl found alive

    Older brother still missing

    Saturday, July 2, 2005; Posted: 11:55 a.m. EDT (15:55 GMT)

Shasta Groene was found at about 2 a.m. (4 a.m. ET), a spokesman for the Kootenai County (Idaho) Sheriff's Department said.

Kootenai County Sheriff's Department spokesman Capt. Ben Wolfinger said Shasta was found in the company of a North Dakota man, who was taken into custody.

Shasta's brother, 9-year-old Dylan, has not been located, but her great aunt, Sue Torres, told CNN that "Shasta's probably going to take us to him."

"The only thing I really know is that a waitress at a Denny's restaurant in Coeur d'Alene recognized her."

Shasta is in a hospital, and "she wants her daddy," Torres said.

The children have been missing since May 16, when their mother, a brother and the mother's boyfriend were found beaten to death in the mother's home.[[[snip]]]

Missing Idaho Girl, 8, Found Alive and Well Saturday, July 02, 2005

The 8-year-old girl and her brother Dylan, 9, were missing from the murder scene and an Amber Alert was issued for them May 17, the morning after the killings.

Cheryl Morgan, the siblings' grandmother, told FOX News that Dylan had also been found alive at a house in the area after Shasta told authorities the location.

But at a press conference held at noon EDT, Kootenai County Sheriff's Department Capt. Ben Wolfinger disavowed that and said Dylan Groene had not been found.

Taken into custody at the Denny's restaurant was Joseph Edward Duncan III 42, of Fargo, N.D.

Duncan has a long record of sexual offences. He arrested in April in Fargo for allegedly molesting a 7-year-old boy the previous July, and served 14 years in prison for raping at 14-year-old boy in Washington state in 1980, when Duncan himself was only 16.

Capt. Wolfinger said Duncan had also been arrested for sexual offenses in recent years in Minnesota and Michigan.

Man who had Shasta is a 25 year- sex offender...when are we going to say enough is enough?

    Here is his resume:

Here is a website where he contends sex offenders shouldn't be punished:

hard to get to much on the website, but this is the mission statement:

The mission of The Fifth Nail is to help in the fight against official propaganda that supports discrimination against classes of people defined by mistakes they made in the past, or might make in the future. It is our position that State Sanctioned Discrimination serves no public interest and in fact creates an even more dangerous class of criminals by denying x-convicts a place in our society, forcing them to feel like outcasts with little to loose.

    Default Hi, Moab.

Thank God this beautiful child has been found alive, and kudos to that alert and perceptive waitress at the Denny's. Hope she gets the reward.

It is chilling to read the blog of the pervert Joseph Duncan III. He has roamed the country at will since his release from prison. Many many states will be looking at this monster in connection with their cold cases. He's been in ND, Minnesota, Florida, Kansas, Missouri, Wyoming, Washington, and Idaho.
Free to prey on children for ten years.

TG they have him in custody.

    Now, where is Dylan?

According to the police they believe he is no longer alive. Fox News seems to be keeping up with the story. They are onl about 13 hours into this, Duncan probably isn't talking, and Shasta had to be checked out at a hospital, has probably been reunited with her father, and is talking to the investigators.

Here is what worries me...when she was found, she asked for her daddy. She had been previously living with her mother before all of this happened, yet she didn't ask for her when the police got there to arrest Duncan. Did she know her mother was dead? Did she see the killings? How much has this little girl gone through?????

I hate to think what this precious baby has been through. It will take years of therapy and love to make her whole again. I pray the Good Lord who spared her life will also heal her bruised spirit.

As to Dylan... the word is not good. One thing Shasta said after being rescued was that her brother was in Heaven. No doubt Dylan made efforts to free them both from Duncan, and gave his life for his sister.

    Such a tragedy!

repeatedly raped, both she and her brother

She must have told them where her brother's remains were.
