    This really takes the biscuit!

Rainsong claims that Dr Henry Lee is "not an expert on DNA":-
Dave added "he's not and never has been".

Good grief - are they trying to imply that Dr Lee doesn't know anything about DNA? The man is a world renowned forensic scientist! He has goodness knows how many awards and accolades. He runs seminars and workshops on DNA analysis.

Here is Dr Henry Lee's website:-

    http://www.drhenrylee.com/about/

WHat I DO know is that neither RAinsong nor Dave are experts on DNA (although they would try to have us think so)

I took this from there, because I like it. It reminds me of the RST and the stungun:-

Ol' docg really stuck 'em on that one! Hooray!

I wouldn't trust them to tell me the sun was shining!

In a feeble attempt to justify her comment about Dr Lee not being an expert on DNA, Rainsong added this:-

Great analogy - NOT. Neurosurgeons and oncologists must both have trained in general surgery and are therefore not only qualified but probably perfectly competent to remove a few haemorrhoids. Indeed, I'd be rather suspicious of any neurosurgon or oncologist who didn't "know his butt from a hole in the ground".

The fact is - Dr Lee is a world class Forensic Scientist - Forensic Science covers many specialities INCLUDING DNA. He has a PHd in Biochemistry. He has authored books and papers on ... DNA.

Rainsong is talking out of her hole in the ground.

She certainly does. She has managed to interpret this:-

    as this:-

    She's really something.

Greenie - can we have a Rainsong thread at your corner? Plenty of material to work with:)

    Interesting

    Miranda posted this at jameson's:-

In fact, this is a rehash of a question which is used in personality profiling to determine if potential employees will jump to conclusions without the benefit of all the facts. Candidates are asked to write one sentence to sum up their feelings about it.

Most people assume that the mother was the innocent party without knowing the details of the messy divorce. The "correct" response is to ask about the divorce.

That was so funny. I have already emailed it to several friends.

    Thanks for sharing.
P.S. I don't know enough about Rainsong to start a thread at GC, but thanks anyway for thinking of me.
I do have something new over at my little corner. So far, not many have seen it.

I remember many years ago, I had a lump on my wrist that was very painful. Turned out to be just a ganglia, but initially I thought it was something that had to be removed due to the swelling and pain. I called my BREAST surgeon to ask him for a referral for a surgeon to look at my wrist. He laughed and asked if I forgot he was a surgeon. In those days, I said " but you are a breast specialist" and he reminded me that he is a general surgeon first and a specialist second.

Needless to say, he was qualified to care for my wrist

Og course he was - just as Henry Lee is qualified to advise about DNA at a crime scene. He's got a PHd in Biochemistry after all! Some people are pretty desperate in their attempts to discredit experts who aren't saying what they want them to say.

    Isn't that the truth?
