Default "IF" there is a trial

Would anyone be going to it? I know this is premature, but I have to plan these kinds of things well in advance!

I planned to go to the Fox court case but it never came to fruition. I'm not certain if I'd try to go to this guy's trial or not because it might be gory and I'd pass out for sure. However, there are extensive parts of the trial that I;d love to see.

WOuld it be televised do you think?

I hope there is a trial. I'd love this to be finished.

What are the Colorado laws regarding pleading guilty but his lawyers claiming insanity/dimished capacity? Would there still be a trial on this charge or just the plea? If he's not really insane, he certainly is putting on the "front" for the media. I'm sure that's what he wants, to go down in history.

I hope Courttv would carry it, probably!

During the Westerfield trial, we had an early tea every night so that I could settle down at watch it over the Internet. The picture quality wasn't too great, but it was watchable. I think it was Sandiegoonline that I watched it through for some reason that I forget, I think it was beter than ctv.

Yes there were many, many complaints to CTV because of all the commercial interuptions. Then because of the time difference, we would miss half the afternoon coverage because our cable company changes to Canadian Content at 6:00 pm here (3:00 in the afternoon there). It wouldn't even start until noon here either!! So we only had 3 hours a day of live coverage, minus commercial time.

There was such an uproar, so many threatening to switch cable companys and their internet service (same co) near the end, they started expanded coverage. I would switch to the internet when ctv switched to canadian content. Same with LP!

They have 72 hours to charge him once he reaches Boulder.

    That's it.

    Then what?

Does he go back to California?

Can they still legally bring him in for questioning?

    You're scaring me

I sincerely hope we don't have to "investigate" him for the next ten years. Please tell me that can't happen. Please tell me we won't have to listen to his name as someone viable from the RST forever. Please tell me that however long this latest stunt takes, that will be IT one way or the other, with the chips falling where they may, yada yada

This one will peter out in days, I think.

As Sabrina said, once he's on Boulder soil, they can hold him for 72 hours for questioning and that's it. If they don't swear out a complaint (charge him) then he will be extradited back to Petaluma to stand trial on the kiddie porn possession charges there.

In this morning's news, per the Thailand police spokesguy, Karr's ticket to fly is set and he will be leaving Thailand Sunday evening if the Thai court grants the extradition. Karr should be in Boulder by Monday evening where he will sit in a Boulder jail cell and questioned further.

I have no doubt the preliminary DNA results will be in by then and, if no "match" they clearly don't have enough to successfully prosecute, so no trial. If they claim a DNA "match" I'm going to scream to high heaven because there aren't sufficient markers to derive a match off that panty DNA and the fingernail DNA has long ago been deemed by CBI as degraded and unusable as well.

If all goes according to sanity, Karr won't be charged, there won't be a trial in the Ramsey case, and he will be back in Petaluma before the end of the week where he belongs. But then, this is BOULDER which is the same as OZ, so who knows!

If the DNA doesn't match, I think it's game over.

If the DNA does match, you are all invited to my funeral because I'll have a heart attack and drop dead on the spot. :mummy:

If they couldn't prosecute the Ramseys because the DNA didn't match, how can they prosecute someone else? Too much reasonable doubt, especially when nearly everything else points to Patsy.
