I wanted to start this thread for newcomers to the forum. This thread will offer CORRECT information and links to more detailed facts and evidence for those of you who are interested in this case but are not up to speed. Then there are those of you for which the media has been your only source of MIS-information - this thread is most especially for you! :reporter:

I invite the oldies here to add anything that I have missed, which will likely be a lot :tsktsk:

I'll start with a list of websites that offer in depth and reliable case information:

The number one site: www.acandyrose.com This website offers facts, court documents, evidence, fairy tales (aka, Lou Smit's power point presentation), and theories that have been offered up through the past 10 years. If you can't find it here, it doesn't exist.

www.supportramseytruth.com - A site owned by our fearless leader, Tricia. This pretty much sums it up. An awesome job was done by the researchers fo this site of separating fact from fiction.

    CNN: JonBenet Ramsey Case: http://www.cnn.com/US/9703/ramsey.case/index.html

    Court TV Case Files: http://www.courttv.com/archive/casefiles/jonbenet/updates.html

    Newspapers
    Boulder News: http://www.bouldernews.com/

    Longmont FYI: http://www.longmontfyi.com/

    Rocky Mountain News: http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/ramsey/0,1299,DRMN_1296,00.html

A site with even more case related websites to view: http://www.kenpolzin.com/jbr/jbrindex.html

And for comic relief: www.jameson245.com The owner of this website is a Hickory Hollerin' North Carolina housewife who wears velvet gloves while sleuthing porn sites. If one didn't know better, one might think this a parody site - that is until the bile begins to build in your throat. Like Lin Wood, Jameson is a defender of the (alleged and/or convicted), dellusional killers, pedophiles, and the criminally insane, from David Westerfield to John and Patsy Ramsey. Jameson is on the job 24/7 throwing up smoke screens, throwing innocent individuals under the bus, and throwing panties at unsuspecting D.A.'s all around the country.

    Evidence: Fact or Fiction
Fiction: Palm print is an important piece of evidence
Fact: The palm print was identified as belonging to Melinda Ramsey

Fiction: This is a DNA Case
Fact: The DNA is degraded and mixed with JonBenet's DNA - no one will ever be a positive match to the DNA found in JonBenet's underwear and beneath her fingernails.

Fiction: There were no footprints in the snow
    Fact: There was no snow

Fiction: Patsy Ramsey - "I did not kill that child"
    Fact: Yes you did.
Ok, I made this one up.

Fiction: A stun gun was used
Fact: This has never been proved. John Ramsey would not allow, nor did the BPD feel there was enough compelling evidence to support, having JonBenet's body exhumed for testing.

Fiction: Patsy and John Ramsey are no longer suspects
Fact: No one but Burke Ramsey has ever been cleared as a suspect in this case

Fiction: There was a stuffed bear in a picture taken at the Ramsey crime scene that no one in the family can identify and is an important clue in this case.
Fact: The bear was a gift given at one of JonBenet's pageants - Sunburst if I'm not mistaken.

I hope the other old timers will help me out here - I'm old and my mind is not hitting on all cylinders these days. And please, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong - I will gladly modify - I want this to be absolutely correct information, it's what sets JFJ apart from the other JBR websites.

Have to call you to task on this [emboldened text]: Indeed there was snow. It was present when the responding officer got to the house after the 911 call. Pictures of the exterior of the house were not taken until much later that day, so the snow had begun to melt. This accounts for the statements that there were areas that had no snow, and the 'intruder' could have gotten in by walking in the snow-free areas.

    ETA: love the Patsy 'fact'!

My understanding is that on December 25th, 1996, there was a light snowfall, a few tenths of an inch, in Boulder between 5 pm and 8 pm. In some areas there was also some snow left over from a previous snowfall.

I used to have the December 1996 weather chart for Boulder in my computer. If I still do, I'll use ImageShack and try to post it.

    Okay...

I think that any amount of snowfall less than a half inch is called a trace (T on the chart).

    FICTION: Unidentified bootprint in basement
FACT: Grand Jury testimony shows this was Burke's

    FICTION: Unidentified bootprint outside window
    FACT: Discoloration of concrete

FICTION: Semen from killer found on JonBenet's leg
FACT: No such evidence was found

I realize no footprints in the snow lends to 'ramseys did it", but in all fairness, most sources say there was not enough snow to show footprints - here is one: Of course, one would need to consult more data to be able to arrive at any conclusion (for example, more photos, details about the orientation of the house, etc.) However, at first glance, the above data does seem to indicate that an intruder's footprints would either have no snow to tread upon in the first place, or, if the 5-8 p.m. trace snowfall on the twenty-fifth did leave a dusting on the walkways, and said intruder walked through it after that period, it could have melted by the time anyone thought to look for footprints.

This from Punisher on the open forum here; it pretty much gives both sides of the "prior vaginal injuries" argument:
