Does anyone remember the name Daxis on the forums?

This is what Karr used as an email name I guess.

    Tricia,

I never ran across that name anywhere on the Forums, and I read regularly at about ten forums. I have a pretty good memory. He probably used another handle.

Some are wondering if he was "Lake" who seemed to have a lot of insider knowledge.

I first read about John Karr using the december251996@yahoo.com e-mail address at CrimeRant.com, the blog run by true crime writers Gregg Olsen and M. William Phelps.

Just today I noticed the name Karr signed to the e-mails he allegedly sent to Michael Tracey, the journalism professor in Boulder, CO who became suspicious enough about Karr to steer authorities in his direction as a suspect in the murder of JonBenet Ramsey. Imahologram had posted it at DesktopDetective.blogspot.com a couple of days ago, and this Thai English-language paper published the name on August 17th.

In those e-mails that troubled Tracey, that may have marked the beginning of this most recent media circus, Karr signed the name “Daxis,†and he claims he made that up.

Karr also claims on his various resumes that he spent time in the Netherlands (click the thumbnail on the left to see one of the resumes), and http://www.daxis.nl is apparently a pretty popular ISP in the Netherlands. From their site (if you speak Dutch, forgive the clumsy translation):

We sell hardware and software, as well as services in the field of Internet access, hosting, e-commerce, and infotainment…

Daxis has been around for a while, according to the website. A number of Usenet posts to groups apparently dedicated to subjects as disturbing as bestiality came from Daxis addresses — Karr would have known of the service, I’m almost certain.

The first thing that occurred to me after looking this information up was that Karr was proving himself a liar again if he claimed he made the name up, didn’t borrow it from something else (the word Daxis appears as both a proper and a place name in Star Wars-based stories as well).

Yet today there is this article about Karr, linked from a comment made by Amber on entry #5.

The parents of the first person Karr married, a woman now named Quientana Ray, stated in the article originally linked by Amber that Karr used to sign letters to Quientana with “S.B.T.C.â€

If there is proof of this, letters written years in advance of JonBenet’s murder — it would either be a tremendous coincidence or nearly as good as DNA as far as proving to me that Karr isn’t some weaselly little weirdo lying to get his bizarre moment in the spotlight.

Already this afternoon I watched a story on CNN Headline News about Karr’s life in Hamilton, Alabama, where one of his exes showed a demo tape he’d made and a photo of Karr in full mullet, wearing a ridiculous ’80s get-up… he’d even decided that his stage name would be “Damon†Karr. So it isn’t any coinicidence that he eventually named one of his sons Damon.

Daxis, Damon Karr… some people have floated the idea that Karr might have dissociative identity disorder, or multiple personalities. I just don’t know — that disorder is truly pretty rare. He seems a better candidate than some who have been accused of or confessed to crimes while claiming multiple personalities.

DAxis is mentioned on this extremely vile site:

    http://www.returntothepit.com/view.php?formid=9694

WARNING: Do not click here if you have a sensitive stomach.

It seems to be dedicated to a kind of punk band called "Grind". A Popular band of this sort is Discordance Axis, or DAxis for short.

I found this on the Clustry search engine. Postings are from 2004.

This "mandarin" had a Canadian ISP and posted on the old JusticeWatch.

Whenever he would get on one of these brother-sister sex kicks, all of us old grannies would call foul and tell him he was out of line.

I have no idea if our Mandarin is the same one. So many have signed up here with names from the old JW who are probably not who they say they are.

    Reverse/sounds like?

I read some posts over on WS discussing this, and since I can't register there, thought I would post my thoughts here. Some wondered if it could be SixAd from there I wondered if it could be "sounds like" SexAd. Which I wondered if it could be a code word for selling porn pics, and that could be how he has managed to travel the world without a viable income.

Definitely not the same Mandarin. In fact, I think "our" Mandarin is a friend of RiverRat, so she must be okay. ;)

    RR and Cherokee

Chero, not the same "mandarin". On the old JW, it was often not on "protected" status, and some shifty posters would use other people's registered hats. Chaos.

RR, maybe Karr worked at that Computer School in The Netherlands, and adopted the Daxis name from there.

Why doesn't someone just ASK him? Oh, that's right, he has lawyers now who told him to shut his yap. :bee:

  15. Someone on the WS forum thought Daxis could be backwards - Sixad... Six At Death.

Lurker - I agree - it's a computer geek thing that the computer geek pedophile is familar with. I wonder if John Ramsey is too!

Robin/Curious/Dimmie is here on this forum. He is now called Yum-Yum.

Incidentally, Dimmie, that was a bad choice of a handle...I say this respectfully after watching the mindboggling special on MSNBC last evening about child prostitution in Cambodia.
