Up in the air! It's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's John Ramsey!

According to the following flight logs posted at:

    http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N2059W/history

John Ramsey was busy from last Wednesday through Saturday flying around the country in his private plane to Little Rock, AR to Atlanta, GA to Lafayette, LA and back to Atlanta.

Little Rock, AR? Lafayette, LA? Is John turning into a Suh-thun-ah? What happened to Mr. I'm-A-Charlevoixer-Vote-For-Me?

John sure is burning up a lot of airplane fuel these days in his quest to find JonBenet's killer on all the golf courses he can find. I can't figure out how poor, broke John Ramsey can afford a private plane and jet fuel without having a job or other apparent source of income. No wonder the Ramseys had to build up their nest egg with all those frivolous lawsuits. Between Patsy's gilded redecorating tastes and John's bunny-hopping all over the country like a CEO in heat, they knew they were going to need some major moolah to fund themselves in the manner to which they'd become accustomed! But there's not a dime to find JonBenet's killer, keep their so-called foundation open, or a tipline going. Priorities, priorities.

    Gee Cherokee,

    Have a heart!

John has new irons in the fire now (so to speak). Let's not forget he has a new honey to fly around to where she needs to go as well as himself

Nice to know that he still feels he is too good for commercial flights and also doesn't seem to care about fuel conservation and the environment either!

Poor baby, being broke and all.

Maybe Jams can start a telethon for him. I'm sure with all her, Lin Wood and Smit's connections, they can get it going. Jams can man the phone lines and do the usual....one for John, two for me...two for John, three for me and also have access to others' credit cards

I think it's a great idea! :abnormal: :poke: :pills:

Well fiddle-dee-de, lawsy me ... I just can't keep up with John Ramsey these days. He is absolutely ALL OVER the United States these days. And just WHAT is the attraction in ARKANSAS?

Only two days ago on Tuesday, December 4th, John flew from Charlevoix to Little Rock, AR. It took him FOUR AND A HALF HOURS to fly from Charlevoix to Little Rock, but he only spent ONE HOUR in Little Rock before leaving again! What's up with that?

Then it took John TWO MORE HOURS to fly to Atlanta. My star and bars, if he keeps this up, (spending all day in his private plane), he won't have ANY time to look for JonBenet's killer on the golf course!!!

Here's the flight log for John's plane, N2059W, for the past four months. (It's listed chronologically from the bottom up.) John has been a very busy little boy and doing HIS part to contribute to air pollution and global warming by using up all the jet fuel he possibly can. And he's not just burning up the sky between Charlevoix, Atlanta and Arkansas ... oh no, John likes to spread his favors around to Indiana, Illinois, Louisiana, and both sides of the southern part of Michigan, just to name a few places he's dropped wing.

John even took a trip out to Winner, South Dakota, (population 3137). I can't imagine what THAT was about. They must have a rip-snorter of a golf course!

By the way, Adams Field = Little Rock, AR.

I was puzzled over the frequent Arkansas visits until I made the connection that Beth Holloway's mother and other relatives live in the area of Little Rock, so if John persists in saying that he and Beth are "just friends," his flight logs betray the fact that he loves her dearly by how often he flies to be with her and her family there.

Looking at those logs, though, you can see how the voters of Michigan knew that John was a liar through and through when he claimed that Charlevoix and Michigan were his true home. He still finds it seemingly impossible to bring himself to spend more than a couple of weeks or so in a row there without flying out to some other state. I keep an eye on the real estate listings in the area, because I know that there will be a point when we will see him put the Charlevoix house up for sale. Burke seems to want nothing to do with that place, and the town and state are hurting for money and they keep putting his property taxes up enough that I think John will simply decide to buy property in Arkansas and turn his back on all pretense he had that he liked Michigan for anything other than his old access to Round Lake for the boats he no longer has.

    Where's Johnny?

As Why_Nut pointed out, John still hasn't filed the necessary paperwork to run for election in Michigan. The deadline is May 13th.

I thought maybe John was too busy cavorting about the countryside in his private plane to notice he's getting dangerously close to not being a candidate for office. So, I thought I'd take a look at his recent flight logs.

John made a trip to Purdue on January 27th. Burke should have already started classes at Georgia State by then, so I don't know what that was about. Then John makes a trip to the Kingsport, TN area on February 15th. He spends the night, then flies back to Charlevoix the next day. John's most recent flight occurred on April 23rd when he flew up to Sault Ste Marie, Michigan near the Canadian border. Apparently, he's been there for the past 10 days. John is probably taking a much-needed vacation. You know, it's so stressful flying all over the US in your private plane, having nothing to do but golf and check the "family trust" for accrued interest.

Good grief! John has been burning up the airspace over Michigan the past two days!

First, John flies from Charlevoix down to Pontiac, MI at 3:40 p.m. yesterday. Then last night, he flies back to Charlevoix, arriving close to midnight at 11:44 p.m.

Today, John flies BACK to Pontiac (at almost the exact same time in the afternoon as yesterday's flight) at 3:38 p.m. He's still in Pontiac as we speak. I wonder what is so pressing in Pontiac that John has to fly there two days in a row. Wouldn't it be cheaper and save precious (and expensive) plane fuel to spend the night in Pontiac?

The strange thing is ... I didn't find a record of John flying from Sault Ste Marie back to Charlevoix. John flew to Sault Ste Marie on April 23rd, but there is no flight log for his return! How did he get his plane from Sault Ste Marie to Charlevoix? Obviously, he flew out of Charlevoix to Pontiac, so he had to travel from Sault Ste Marie to Charlevoix SOMEHOW. Hmmmm.

I found out how that can happen. If a pilot is flying using visual flight rules, he is not required to file a flight plan, since he is essentially using his plane as one might use a car, navigating via ground landmarks. If using instrument flight rules, however, he has to make his plane trackable, since he is essentially reserving a specific flight path based on a specific time of takeoff and landing. A site like flightaware.com tracks IFR flights only, using signals the plane sends out along its IFR path. So John most likely flew using IFR to Sault Ste Marie for whatever reason he deemed fit, and just literally winged it using VFR back to Charlevoix, or more accurately Boyne City Muni since that seems to have become his preferred home base rather than his old preference of Charlevoix or Traverse City.

Still, what is up with these multiple visits to the Pontiac area? How odd. Two days in a row he arrives at about 4:30 in the afternoon, and leaves about 10:30 at night. Shall we take bets as to whether we see another visit on Tuesday?

    Thanks for the explanation, Why_Nut.

As for John's trips to Pontiac ... he did it again. He flew BACK to Charlevoix from Pontiac at the same time as the previous night. John left Pontiac Monday night at 10:24 p.m. and arrived just before midnight in Charlevoix, just like he did on Sunday.

Here's something I've never understood. John's private plane is registered to the BENNETT RAMSEY GROUP, INC in Wilmington, Delaware.

    http://flightaware.com/resources/registration/N2059W

    Aircraft Registration (N2059W)

    Aircraft Summary

    1965 BEECH V35
    Fixed wing single engine
    (6 seats / 1 engine)

    Owner

    BENNETT RAMSEY GROUP INC
    WILMINGTON, DE
    (Corporation)

    1. Why Wilimington, Delaware? Is it a tax haven for private planes? Why not register the corporation in Georgia or Colorado or Michigan - in one of the places John has lived for the past 30 years?

    2. What exactly IS the BENNETT RAMSEY GROUP INC? What does it do? Is it a fake umbrella corporation that John Ramsey uses to siphon off money from the "family trust" that was originally the JBR Foundation?

    3. Does John Ramsey pay himself from the "family trust" for services rendered as the BENNETT RAMSEY GROUP INC?

    4. Below is a composite of two screen captures from minutes of a Charlevoix City Council meeting found in a PDF file at the following URL.

    http://www.cityofcharlevoix.org/council/060506.pdf

There is an approved expenditure from the City of Charlevoix to the BENNETT RAMSEY GROUP INC listed in accounts payable on June 2, 2006 for $65.60.

For what service or item did the BENNETT RAMSEY GROUP INC charge the City of Charlevoix $65.60?

My guess is that it had something to do with the Charlevoix Venetian Festival that occurred from July 18 - July 22, 2006. Obviously, the Ramseys couldn't just donate $65.60 worth of goods or services to Charlevoix. They had to be paid that amount in a timely manner; unlike the way they stiffed their own attorneys who had to sue for payment of thousands of dollars.

Other than flying around in a plane and use up tankfuls of expensive fuel, the BENNETT RAMSEY GROUP INC doesn't seem to do much else.

Moab brought up a good question about why did John said he was expecting email from the airlines when he flies his own plane all over the US.

Below is the latest flight logs for John since the ones posted previously on this thread that ended with May 5, 2008.

Apparently, John hasn't heard about the oil crunch and still has plenty of money to pay for jet fuel. He's flying all over and even made another trip down to Kingsport, but for some reason, he couldn't manage to fly a few more miles to Georgia to pay respects at Patsy's grave (for the 2nd anniversary of her death), or check on Burke.

Not anymore. He was flying around to see her (and her relatives) all over the south including Arkansas, but I'm afraid it looks like they've broken up. Beth must have seen his lizard tongue one too many times and called it quits.

Do you know it's definitely him flying the plane? Maybe he leases his plane to others?

There was an horrific plane crash here last year - small private plane. All three passengers were killed. Both the pilot and co-pilot were way over the alcohol limit and neither of them was qualified to fly with instruments. They had taken off into bad weather and couldn't deal with poor visibility. Turns out that the plane had shared ownership and the other owner didn't even know that it had been taken out!

There was something about what Why_Nut posted above in this news story too - re there being different classes of pilot-ship - i.e. whether they need to file a flight plan or whether they can fly with instruments. I hadn't known this before. We learn something new every day!
