My friends,
A wonderful woman in Scottland has made a complete rebuttal to Michael Tracey's "Prime Suspect" documentary. I would suggest you read the transcript located on the bottom thread on this forum. Then read Jayelle's great rebuttal. This is really amazing. `````````````````````````````````````````````````` `` Michael Tracey’s documentary – “Who killed the Pageant Queen – Prime Suspect” Aired in the UK by ITV 1 at 9pm on Tuesday 15th June, 2004-07-14. It suggested the theory that:- “The new team of detectives think Helgoth may well have been involved as an accomplice of an even more deadly killer. One who later murdered him to stop him talking after Alex Hunter’s unnerving press conference.” It was not made clear that this “new team of detectives” were Ramsey PIs! Transcript can be found here:- http://people.delphiforums.com/JAYEL...TRanscript.htm Terms such as “Tracey III” or “Tracey’s latest crock” or the “Crockumentary” or “Crock” are also used by Internet posters to refer to this documentary. The “Prime Suspect” became known as “Mr X” on the following forums:- www.cn2000.com www.websleuths.com www.forumsforjustice.com http://forums.delphiforums.com/PurgatoryII/start The “Prime Suspect” became known as “SX” on the following forum:- http://www.webbsleuths.org/cgi-bin/d...mID37&archive= The documentary comprised of:- • Video footage of the Ramsey family and JonBenét Ramsey in pageants • Interviews with friends/acquaintances of Michael Helgoth • Interviews with friends/acquaintances of “Mr X” • Interviews with a group of Private Investigators who are working voluntarily on the Ramsey case • Library (archive) interviews with John and Patsy Ramsey • Library (archive) interview with Lou Smit • Interview with Greg Laberge, Forensic Scientist • Interview with the father of a girl known as the “Dancewest victim” The documentary was highly critical of the Boulder Police investigation and pushed the point throughout that the Police only focused on the parents – ignoring other leads. John San Augustin We were finding out that there were people that were never even followed up, I mean literally people within, you know, 100 feet. There were certain individuals in the neighbourhood who had criminal backgrounds that had never been talked to. Narrator These include two men living near the Ramsey home who left Boulder immediately after the murder. Both have criminal records yet neither has been interviewed. Two convicted paedophiles who lived nearby have also never been eliminated. These detectives have found too that the Boulder Police dismissed important information if it pointed away from the Ramseys. The documentary then moved on to look at Michael Helgoth. The “evidence” forwarded against him appeared to include the following:- 1. He died the day following Alex Hunters speech to the killer or killers where he stated:- DA Alex Hunter I want to say something to the person or persons who took this baby from us, the list of suspects narrows. Soon there will be no-one on the list but you ... 2. Helgoth owned a pair of Hi-Tec boots and there was a Hi-Tec boot print found in the Ramsey basement 3. The makers of the documentary claimed that Helgoth used to stalk people at night time dressed in black ninja clothing. 4. Helgoth owned videos containing scenes of violence (sample footage shown of a gunman shooting at a crowd of people) 5. a) Helgoth owned the video “The Santa Clause” where a young girl was wakened from her bed on Christmas Eve by Santa. This was considered significant because JonBenét Ramsey was wakened form her bed on Christmas night by her killer. b) Helgoth’s video of “The Santa Clause” contained news footage of the unsolved abduction and murder of a child in Colorado and PI John San Augustin suggested that this was significant because:- John San Augustin In a lot of these types of investigations you see that these criminals hide their activity within media. What they’ll do is, they’ll play a movie and then somewhere in the middle of the movie, they will put their piece of their criminal activity within that video and when you look at the Helgoth video, you know, here you have a movie that’s playing along and then all of a sudden you have news coverage of an unsolved murder here in Colorado (News 4 news clip). Narrator The news story that Helgoth had kept, told of the abduction and murder of a five year old girl. It occurred near Boulder three years before JonBenét’s killing. It too remains unsolved. News Reader A child’s body was found stuffed inside a duffel bag in Deer Creek Canyon yesterday. (It is believed that the child in the footage was Alie Berrelez). 5. Helgoth owned a stungun and some believe that an “Ait Taser” stungun was used on JonBenèt Ramsey. The stungun theory was stated as a fact in the documentary, but it is in fact a theory which is strongly disputed by experts. 6. The documentary did concede that the stungun seen in Helgoth’s death scene photos is not the type that they believe was used on JonBenét Ramsey, but they claimed that they know he owned several stunguns including an “Air Taser”. They did not offer an explanation as to how they knew this. 7. Helgoth owned two wolf pups and :- “Helgoth’s associate raised wolf dogs whose hairs exactly match those colours. Helgoth had bought two of these dogs.” No evidence was offered as proof that this match had been established forensically. 8. John Kenady’s testimony which includes:- • Kenady’s claims that Helgoth told him he wondered what it would be like to crack a human skull (JonBenét’s skull was cracked) • Kenady’s opinion that Helgoth liked shooting guns • Kenady’s opinion that Helgoth liked to strangle kittens with his bare hands • Kenady’s claims that Helgoth liked to stalk people at night time • Kenady’s claims that Helgoth liked to shoot at people, narrowly missing them • A statement of belief that Helgoth would not have muffled his own suicide shot because he was generally bold about shooting guns • Claims that Helgoth wore black ninja clothing • Kenady’s claim that he thought it was suspicious that Helgoth committed suicide the day after Alex Hunter’s “finger-wagging” speech. • Claims that Helgoth had spoken to Kenady of a “killer deal” which was going to make him $50-60K:- John Kenady Mike was pretty happy around late November about him and a partner making a killer deal and they were each gonna make fifty or sixty thousand. The documentary pointed out that this was close to the amount of the $118,000 ransom. • Claims by Kenady that Helgoth was depressed because:- John Kenady And then Christmas goes..comes and then he’s really depressed and there’s no money. And then he said that he wanted to crack a human skull and then she received a crack on her skull and I felt obligated to go to the police department and tell them what I knew. 9. The documentary suggested that Helgoth was a potential paedophile. 10. The documentary claimed that Helgoth’s ex-girlfriend told them he collected Barbie dolls (Barbie dolls were found on the Ramsey lawn some time after JonBenét’s murder) and that he couldn’t trust himself with her small daughter:- Narrator Three months after the murder of JonBenét Ramsey, the Boulder Police were told that this man, Michael Helgoth, might have been involved. They ignored the information, but a new team of detectives appointed last year, have taken it seriously. They’ve discovered Helgoth had an infatuation with young girls. A girlfriend says that he actually collected Barbie dolls. She eventually had to take out a restraining order on him to protect her daughter. She had come home unexpectedly one evening and found her on his bed. He was in bed naked. He said he couldn’t trust himself with her daughter. Ollie Gray I think this is very relevant to our case. We’re looking at a potential paedophile. This has all the characteristics of sexual deviation. The age bracket of the child was within two years of the one we were investigating and I felt that it should go further. 11. The documentary suggested that debris seen in photographs of Helgoth’s boots were the same colour as the mould on the Ramsey basement floor. There was no evidence given that a match had been made forensically. No explanation was given as to how debris from the Ramsey basement floor would still be on the sole of Helgoth’s boots two months later. No alternative explanations for brown debris being on the soles of Helgoth’s boots were offered at all. 12. The makers of the document suggested that killing animals “excited” Helgoth. 13. The documentary stated that they do not believe Michael Helgoth committed suicide because:- • He was unlikely to have muffled the shot • That he was right-handed and the shot was made on his left hand side. They demonstrated how the trajectory of the shot would have been difficult for him • That he did not leave a suicide note • That suicides usually shoot themselves in the head, mouth or under the chin – not the torso as Helgoth had been shot 12. They offered the opinion that he was murdered by:- “….an even more deadly killer.…..to stop him talking after Alex Hunter’s unnerving press conference.” They did not offer any explanation as to why his death was deemed a suicide by the people who investigated it at the time. Having made the above claims, the documentary admitted that Michael Helgoth’s DNA did not match the DNA found under JonBenét’s fingernails or co-mingled with blood in her underwear. ``````````````````````````` continued.....

It's the difference between journalism and propaganda. Alan Prendergast, reporter for Westword |
