Kids and dogs...great judges of character!

    If my dog doesn't like you...chances are...I won't either!

Right. I never trusted anyone my dogs or kids didn't like.
Interesting thing happened recently- My daughter and I took her 2-year old son to a local farm near her house. It is a small, working farm and kids are welcome to visit the animal pens and barns free. No petting or feeding allowed, but if you are there at the right time, you can watch a cow get milked. Well, the milking demonstration was just about to begin, and there were two young men setting it up. One of the men was ruggedly handsome, in jeans and plaid shirt, long blonde ponytail. As soon as my grandson saw him, he turned his little face away and told his mommy that was a scary man. He said he didn't like that scary man and wanted to leave. We left. He had been there with his mommy several times without incident- having seen lots of farm workers each visit. There was nothing in that man's behavior or actions that was any different from the other young man. They were there together, yet this little 2-year old sensed something about him that was very unpleasant for him. I told my daughter to always be wary if she saw that man while walking around the farm, especially if she and her son were there alone.

    Up on the swamp..

She is now offering her take on parts of Smit's deposition. Why not post the powerpoint presentation?

We know from experience that what jameson leaves out is often of more interest that what she leaves in.

I note she has left out the name of the person asking Smit the questions. Do we know who that was? Friend or foe? Because we know that makes a difference with regard to the impartiality of the questioning.

I'd be interested in reading the whole deposition but certain not in reading edited highlights - from jameson of all people!

    Q. Could you give us the benefit of an overview of the relationship that existed between the Boulder Police Department and the Boulder District Attorney's office as you observed it and experienced it over the approximate 18 months you
Page 64 were involved in the JonBenet Ramsey murder investigation?

    A. From my own personal experience, I have always worked within an atmosphere where the District Attorney's office and the police departments have always gotten along. You have to have that relationship in order to successfully prosecute many cases.

When I went over to the Boulder office, however, I did notice that there was a great deal of animosity between the police department and the District Attorney's office. I learned later that this was a result of many, many years of misunderstandings between the two departments.

There was a great deal of mistrust between them. And it was an atmosphere that was, to me, somewhat difficult to work in because I like to work with police agencies, and I have worked with many police agencies in my career. And it was difficult because there was great mistrust there, and I was hired by the District Attorney's office and not by the police department. I felt that I got along very well

Page 65 with the Boulder police officers. I think they are very dedicated and a fine group of individuals. And I feel the same way about the Boulder District Attorney's office. But between the two agencies, there was a great deal of friction and mistrust.

    Q. It was a nightmare at times; wasn't it?

    A. It got tense occasionally.

    Q. And it, many times, lacked the professionalism that one would have expected from the two organizations?

    A. You know, Mr. Wood, I always believe that both, both organizations were professional. But I think that, because of longstanding disagreements that they had, that they lacked the objectivity to successfully and freely exchange information between the two agencies, so that did hurt the case. Professionally-wise, I think they are good. But as far as them being able to work together, I think it was very poor.

From this last paragraph, it sounds like Lin Wood...

Reading jameson's forum and edited highlights of the documents she has acquired would be like a jury only getting to hear the defence's case and evidence in a court trial.

So I'm not even going to read it. If and when the entire unedited deposition gets posted, I'll read that with interest.

    I agree Jay

Too little, too late. Like the White depo, Sue chooses what parts we should read; the classic "I left out the irrelevant parts" mantra.

We already know what Smit thinks and does. This depo is likely with Lin Wood and who wants to read two Ramsey defenders discussing the intruder theory and how the Ramseys are the "targets" of law enforcement?

I would be interested to read it in its entirety if it was complete and a public document, rather than Susan's hand picked excerpts.

Once again, almost November, with the forum about to "close", Susan dangles the carrot for the flock in an effort for membership dues (it is close to Christmas)

Everything I need/ed to know about Smit, I learned years ago after his close collaboration with Michael Tracey and Karr. Smit worked closely with Tracey.

That's all we need to know. Period.

We know that one of jameson's catch phrases is "let the chips fall where they may" but she rarely practices what she preaches and her reporting has always been selective.

I recall for example when she was asked the name of the specialist who had FAILED to recognise the stun gun marks on Gerald Bogg's body first time around and she fluffed and said she didn't recall/would have to consult her files (....which weren't easily accessible....) etc etc.

In fact this self-same specialst was none other than Dr Michael Doberson - Ramsey stungun "expert". This is HARDLY the kind of fact an avid case follower was likely to "forget" so it is my opinion that her forgetfulness was simply her way to avoid public acknowledgement of this unfortunate and inconvenient fact. Dishonest IMO.

ETA - If it was Lin Wood who deposed Smit then it isn't going to be worth the paper it is printed on.

Well, well, well.... Wonder how long she's had this? She said for years...up until last year, I'm thinking...that she didn't have it. She and gutter candy made a HUGE case about how we gutter gossips could get it if we just were smart enough and had $2000. We tried, but Wood stood in our way on his end, and the judge stood in the way on hers.

But here jams suddenly has it. Interesting.

Well, I'm going to read it. I've already had a stroke reading how SMIT AND DEMUTH AND THE RST IN HUNTER'S OFFICE COPIED THE EVIDENCE AND TURNED IT INTO THE POWERPOINT, TO HELP THE RAMSEYS, COMPLIMENTS OF THE TAXPAYERS OF BOULDER, CO.

I never have considered an attemt to locate missing or finding justice for murdered children a hobby. I've spent years with my attempts long before Christmas of '96. I've had the time but soon that will end.

And who is jameson blabbering about? She is indeed the one who declared bankruptcy, and it hasn't been that long ago.

jameson has a tendency to get her knickers in a twist whenever a new ramsey book is announced. Right now she is threatening to send a copy of SuperDave's forthcoming book to Lin Wood (nicely of course)... but that's par for the course.

What I'd REALLY like to address FOR THE RECORD is this comment:-

This is utter tosh. A typical jameson spiteful remark which has no basis in fact. The RST MAY have waited anxiously on the book (so that they could send a copy to Lin Wood), but whilst they were doing so, the "BORG" set about checking out Laurence Smith's credentials, discovered some (ahem) "inaccuracies" and dismissed him as lacking in credibility instead.

(There is a thread about this at WS. There IS a Laurence Smith who is everything that "this" Laurence Smith claims to be, but they are definitely not the same person. "This" Laurence Smith's professional affiliations, whilst VERY similar to genuine ones, do not appear to exist and when he is challenged, he tends to get very nasty indeed. Just another Ramsey sideshow IMO. But then, if jameson was capable of proper research, she'd know that)

ETA - Genuine academics and researchers do NOT attack people who request their credentials. They know the blood sweat and tears which has gone into achieving them and understand the importance of verifying sources and credibility. The Mames and jamesons of the world only reveal their LACK of credibility when they expect readers to take them at face value whilst they refuse to divulge or provide their sources.

Hey, Punisher, have you seen these video interviews done by a Denver TV station, from the "exoneration" frenzy? I just found them today, and there's a LOT of Lou Smit in here. I thought of you....

There's also a short video I never saw before of JonBenet in a pageant wearing a green sequined dress. Anyone know how to capture pics from these? Is there anyway to download these videos to keep? I've been trying and I guess that's not allowed in home computer software. Sure hope someone is keeping this stuff where we can get to it. Otherwise, just more disappears.

Where's the video? I clicked on the photo of JBR (in the red outfit) but it just opened larger- there was no video. I may have missed something.

seems to be a SLIDESHOW. you need something to download an embedded flash video.. the interviews with smit were easy to download, they came up in quicktime within my browser, so i just saved out of that.. supposedly you can save out of the embedded flash video, either the whole slideshow or individual images, but i couldn't get it to work. it complained that the email address wasn't valid..

    Another round, folks!

    Let's take 'em down!

Well, there's what that fraud Gelb says, and then there's, you know, what ACTUALLY happened.

You want some? COME GET SOME! You don't like me? BITE ME!

    I RESENT that!

As soon as I find one, I'll let you know!

If you knew ANYTHING about this book, you'd know there's nothing malicious about it.

Like I said, if I find any, I'll let you know.

Mean, yes. False? Hardly. Jammy needs to be reminded of the difference between slander and invective.

Do bears **** in the woods? If that were the ONLY problem with Gelb, I might hesitate. But it helps to read the entire chapter, not just the one excerpt I provided.

    a smelly ode..

You can't spread jam on a burnt toasted site
Where the cook is sloppy and the diners ain't right
Feed them cake from Hickory Hill
And send old Woody the inflated bill
The jam is rancid with a horrible smell
And no longer appealing to the ghosts in hell

Susan Bennett said, "This page talks about Gelb getting his degree from a diploma mill. Does that discredit him?"

Well, DUH! Yes, Susan, it DOES discredit him!!!

Sheesh. Is Susan really that stupid? If you claim you are a polygrapher, and all you have to back that claim is a piece of paper you can buy off the internet (or from a mail-order outfit) as your "degree," then YES, it does discredit you!

A diploma mill is just that. A mill. It is not verifiable online instruction, or a certified correspondence course. You pay your fee, and voila! You receive a certificate from them in your chosen field. The "diploma" is not worth the paper its printed on.

There are diploma mills for all kinds of occupations. Some of the most popular and lucrative "diplomas" are fake clergy credentials as well as various certificates for the "healing arts."

It is absolutely amazing the lengths the RST will go to in order to defend the indefensible. They say just because Gelb's credentials are FAKE doesn't mean he should be discredited!

    :floor:

Yeah, that pretty well sums up the logic, intelligence and critical thinking skills of Ramsey defenders.

    AMEN Cherokee

I held no hope that Susan Bennett would bow out of this case with any dignity or graciousness, and we already knew that she is not particularly bright (cunning and corrupt does NOT equal intellect), but she should stop humiliating herself and just go.

Her time is over. She knows it, we know it and even her cult knows it

    Susan

Just once, keep your word and close your forum and go away.

Amen Cherokee and Barbara!! I totally agree! She can't seem to 'go away' graciously... but I guess that IS who she is....

Hi Punisher! I must have missed your excerpt?? Can you provide a link that I can read this?? TIA!!
