Stupid would be an excuse and I would understand THAT :).......but they're so WEAK and they're cowards. And the smart ones...well maybe it's hard for someone smart to tell a stupid lie (and those lies WERE stupid, silly and unbelievable) and make it sound credible.I wonder how many of them know the truth.I think Wood does.....not sure about the other ones....I wouldn't trust Lacy or Tracey(errr these are the two not so smart ones :D ).Maybe Smit was manipulated through some religious bla bla bla or simply lost it.J.Douglas is a smart man but so are other many experts who have an opinion when it's about some cash.

Smit and Gray are all over this case

Oh dear, let's hope there are some packing peanuts the killer placed like a trail of bread crumbs or this poor woman might have to wait a very long time.

Did anyone else feel a bit nauseous at the title of "forensic specialist"?

The really sad and somewhat frightening thing is that Smit himself must believe he has earned it. An honest man would correct or qualify statements like that. I would not want to diminish anyone trying to help a grieving mother, but to set himself up as something more than what he is (IMPO), is disingenuous at best. Apparently humility isn't one of his attributes.

    hmmm

The article says unknown DNA is found on his pants and then someone says blood. Was the source of the unknown DNA really blood? Was it the vic's blood with unknown DNA mixed in? The article isn't well written or they don't want a clear picture of the situation seen.

That seems to happen a lot when it comes to the RST doesn't it Texan?

On the other hand journalism/journalists who dig seem to be in short supply.

    Too funny! :aprop:

I'm surprised that Old Lou is still going strong. He must be abot 80 yrs old now.

On his new case: These incidents of young men "drowning" have become very common of late. We probably have a thread about it here someplace. Most of them have been college students, many in the Midwest, who have disappeared after drinking at a local tavern. Most are found weeks later drowned in a close-by body of water.

Some experts think there is a "Murder Club" on the internet where the members accrue points for these supposed drownings which are really premeditated murders.

It's called the "Smiley-Face Killers Club", as smiley-face drawings have been found in the viciniy, sometimes carved on trees or emblazoned on rocks.

    oh yea

Lurker, I had heard of this smiley face club. I had also seen something on TV about the growing number of young men who are found drowned after leaving bars late at night or early in the morning after drinking quite a bit. Interesting - have you done research on it?

I was furious when I read "forensic specialist" . He was more of a one-trick pony detective who let his personal religious beliefs color his opinion of the crime.

It doesn't surprise me he is still trying to find that elusive intruder. What else has he got to do? He is retired and his wife passed away. He's got to keep busy doing something. Too bad he's wasting taxpayer money. Boulderites don't even want this case investigated anymore but they are forced to pay for it.

Poor Smit - I didn't think he could get any more DeLousional, but he certainly has declined in his old age if he thinks JB's killer is still running loose, presenting a danger to other little children. Doesn't he know the killer already departed this earth?
