But this is the thread where this woman/Hutchens was brought up by ACR. The topic starts on page 2.

In the holding cells in our city's jail, if someone is deemed to be a suicide risk because of being intoxicated or other reasons, the cops strip him to the buff and he is held naked in his cell. There are cameras on those cells, and someone is watching the prisoners waiting to be transferred to county jail all the time.

I rather think John Karr would like being naked in his cell and knowing someone was watching him. Frucking weirdo.

This is excellent work and deduction, ACR. I've heard this "he told his father he was arrested for JonBenet's murder" story many times, now, and it's always in a context that makes it sound like he was lying/fantasizing. But you may be right on target: he could have been initially arrested on this taped confession stuff and then ended up being caught with the child porn.

Let me get the smoking gun link with that motion to throw out evidence or something like that, because it's a partial copy, but it does have info from Karr's lawyer about that initial search which was based on Karr's permission to look in a notebook in his house for a letter from the Klaas killer.

Wonder what he was using that letter to prove? That he really was writing a book, and maybe he was telling the stupid woman his THEORY of how the murder happened?

She really looks like a truly dumb hick, and if she's a death row groupie, as has been said, she would have just LOVED to call LE and get into another INFAMOUS CASE....

It says right here that Karr was emailing with the informant, and he claimed he was baiting her, to get her to admit she was hurting a child, which he suspected. He said he was writing a book on Polly's murder/killer/whatever. The letter he wanted to retrieve was what he gave consent for the cops to look for, he said, and that's why this motion to suppress evidence was filed. Whatever else they found, we don't know for sure, except that the motion says he had 5 pictures of females under age 18 having sex, more or less.

If there was anything else found, that got suppressed and we don't know what that was.

But this confirms Hutchens' story, that she was corresponding with Karr. Don't know when the tapes came in. I guess she baited Karr, as he said he was baiting her, and they then talked on the phone.

Either one or both were/are perverts. Or either one or both are innocent, and trying to trap the other. How droll. Except that it ruined Karr, didn't it? I mean, as far as he wasn't already ruined. The child porn he had on his computer is illegal, of course.

I wonder though, knowing what we know about various internet JB case fanatics who have cruised child porn sites, claiming they were doing it for "research," if there is a possibility that he was doing this as well? He might be a pedophile, I'm not saying he isn't, but he's not been arrested or convicted of that...until now, that is.

I think you are absolutely right, Koldkase!! Right now, the only thing that I think is firm is that he was arrested for having child porn on his computer and did not show up for a court hearing. THe word "pedophile" has been flying around TV and the internet, but I've seen nothing saying he was charged as one.

I think the guy is wierd, but that's about all I can say right now.

 

I agree with KK and Shadow ... with the scandalously poor reporting, there is a great deal of misinformation floating around.

It has been reported that Karr spent 6 months in jail awaiting trial for those 5 pics. Can ya say "stir crazy"?

For argument's sake, assume that he WAS really writing a book ... and pumping Hutchens for info ... and leading her astray with lies about the Ramsey murder. THEN he gets arrested ... not for murder, but for possession of 5 pictures. Six months in jail without a trial might make one think that he's being framed for a murder ... and might cause one to slip on his running shoes once released.

As far as I'm concerned, the jury is still out on Karr in many regards. No doubt he's unbalanced ... much like Jambo. But a child molester? We don't know that ... not yet.

How will anyone ever prove that this information did not come from Smit's crime scene photos and powerpoint presentation?

There are no redactions in the autopsy so unless there is an addendum that we are unaware of there had to have been something left out purposely, which doesn't make sense from a legal standpoint.
