Every Parent's Worst Nightmare - Child pornography

It's hard for me to read things like this, especially the fact that a 6 month old baby was used by these low-life bastards, but anything we can do to get the word out to parents about Internet porn websites and the skanks that habitate them, we have to do, no matter how distatesful it is to us.

One person arrested was a Bible school counselor; another, a boy scout leader. I am sick.

This was REAL hard-core child porn, not the questionable garbage Karr had where they don't know if the women in the photos are of legal age or not. I'm glad to see they are going after these people and forcing them out into the open.

I really don't understand what kind of a sick mind wants to look at this ****.

 

Neither do I, BluesStrat. Just thinking of those poor little kids being abused that way makes me want to vomit and sick to my soul.

 

Beyond the obvious despicableness (is that a word?) of this crime, I think these kinds of incidents make people paranoid about their kids being around strangers. I live in a kind of rural town outside of Dallas, after having lived in the hell that is Houston, I love the fact that little kids are all over the place here and obviously feel safe. I would hate to lose that. Little kids actually walk up to me and ask about Noodles, and I think that's sweet. It's really frikkin sad that there are lots of areas of this country where kids can't be open and happy, thanks to creeps like ones in this article.

 

Clarification between sick and evil:

People who have the flu are sick.
People who do this to children are evil.

 

Bob, I'm guilty of being an overprotective mother. I've always been like that. I trusted no one except my family and very close, proven friends around my kids. They grew up in the 60's and 70's when not so much of this stuff was going on, at least in our area, but even then, I kept a hawk eye on them whenever we went some place where there were strangers. They didn't get out of my sight. I didn't coddle them or not allow them to play like other kids, nor did I forbid them to go with their friends, as long as I knew where they were going and whom they were with. I

I'm still overprotective. I have been nervous since 10:00 this morning, because I called my youngest daughter, who had left my mother's house after her night of taking care of her, and I couldn't reach her. I've called her cell phone and her home phone ever since, and I've grown more anxious by the hour. I finally reached her, and as usual, I reamed her for "doing that to me." It's a bad stretch of country road between my Mom's and home, and all I could picture was her having an accident and going over a bank where no one could see her car.

I do that with my kids, and they are not babies. They are grown women. I can't help the way I am. It doesn't matter how old they get - I will continue to worry about them like a mother hen.

WY ... that "stuff" was most certainly going on back then ... and probably just as much as now. That fact was just not widely known or communicated to the general public. Remember, back then pedophile priests were RARELY exposed publically ... they were simply moved to a new playground. And parents of kids abused by camp counselors, teachers, neighbors, etc. were NOT inclined to go public with what happened to their kids. Remember, that was an era when even adult rape victims refused to tell ANYONE about the assault against them because of SHAME!

Trust me ... it went on then, as now. The difference is that we were far more naive about such issues back then.

I understand perfectly WY. It doesn't matter how old our children are. We will always be concerned for them. A mother of girls worries more, I am told, and this is understandable. I have always had a protective eye on my boys too, when they were younger. I knew where they were and who they were with. Age means nothing. My sons all have children of their own, and I am still very concerned for them. We will never lose this love and concern.

 

It's hard for me to even respond to this topic. I get very dark and very disillusioned. It makes me wonder about the human race.

 

This is a hard topic for me as well. Hubby tried to turn the volume down when it came on the news cause I was in the other room, but this was all over the news and I always get really upset.

This news came in about the child porn right after I was already upset about news reports, TWO, of unbelievable animal abuse.

Sometimes, I just hate human beings! It's a really good thing I don't own a gun.

 

I don't want to get too depressing here, but while somewhat off topic to the original topic of the thread, but on the subject of what "man's inhumanity to man" can include:

I don't know how many may have heard or how far across the geographical news this would be broadcasted on, but on our local news there is a big story about two teenagers who took a mentally retarded young man, working in a menial position in a local bowling alley, into a bathroom and sodomized him with a plumbers' snake. It was horrific and they found him unconscious in the bathroom, covered in blood. That is horrific all by itself, but as most of you know, I have made a career of working with the mentally retarded and I can guarantee you that the likely scenario will make it that much sadder

This was obviously a mildly mentally retarded guy who probably loved his job more than anything else in the world, never missed a day, and was probably thrilled to pieces that the "guys" actually invited him to go somewhere with them, real pal-like and was happy to go.

This is so sad on so many levels.

Like all things tragic, at least it will raise a little much needed awareness and attention to the care our disabled continue to need; a little silver lining

Nerver mind lol, I just heard that the guys followed him when they saw HIM go into the bathroom. My gut reaction when I first heard was a scenario like I first described, not that it really matters, but wanted to correct

Now that Karr has fallen through as the perp of the month for Lacy/Tracey, I have developed a profile for the next suspect to charge with JonBenet's death.

Lacy should send Smit to Tibet and have him locate a 9 year old boy who will admit to killing JonBenet in a previous life. He could be coached to recite case facts learned in dreams. He wouldn't have any DNA match problems AND best yet he couldn't be charged with the crime because he is below the age of criminal culpability.

Let's all help Lacy/Tracey by coming up with ideas for a crock IV star. After all the slimey limey has big alimony to pay.

 

Yeah, I worded that wrong. I know it was going on. I should have said it wasn't publicized as much then. It does seem, though, that there are more evil predators out there than there used to be, and I don't remember hearing about little kids being kidnapped, used and abused, and then murdered like we hear today. Maybe I'm wrong, though.

I always thought you were a man before I started listing. Don't really know why, but I LUV those cat eyes! WOW.... I wish the R's saw these late a night. Erie! So, your a mom too! Cool! I hope you can take the time to read my other posts, it is true and we are going through the legal stuff now, but the kids have to survive, florish and remain innocent. Yes, This type of thing, this unspeakable act of abuse and mindless selfishness of these Puckin perverts are un-real. I , as a child lived at a time when you could walk to the park with friends, play some baseball, go to the mom and pop stores to get a drink and a candy bar, go ride bikes all over the area. The ONLY thing is that we had to be home and cleaned up by 5 for dinner!!! Then, homework, bath, parents reading a book and to bed to dream of butterflies and wishes. That was long time ago'! When my son's (I have 2 ) Went to school for the first time I had tham Fingerprinted with police photo's. I did this every year! This was in the 80's, Gosh I really am getting to be a relic! haha!
