A friend of mine wrote this and they are going to publish it in the newspapers here soon.

Rachel Cooke has still not been found. Everyone in
this community must stay aware there is a predator in
our midst and there is still a missing teenager who
has not been seen in over three months.

We need to stay aware of the circumstances surrounding
Rachel's disappearance and be cognizant of the fact
that last year in Texas alone there were over 71,000
missing persons reports filed. Statistics such as
these are staggering, and we need to send a powerful
message to anyone capable of such heinous acts that we
as a society will have "zero tolerance" and will hunt
down and prosecute predators to the fullest extent of
    the law.

The fight and search for Rachel Cooke is not over.
Refusing to feel victimized, the Cooke family and
their league of supporters have channeled their
frustration and grief into feverish work to both
continue their search for Rachel and to help others
protect themselves and their loved ones. For those
interested, there are easy ways to learn more by
    accessing Rachel's web site http://www.rachelcookesearch.org.

A Run/Walk for Rachel is being held at Old Settlers Park in Round
Rock on April 27th. I encourage everyone to attend
and bring their loved ones to help support the search
effort and pay homage to this missing child, her family, and the many heroic volunteers who are helping them through this tragedy.

Powerful letter. I hope the Williamson County Sun prints it too!
