Remember when you read that BR was "never a suspect" or words to that effect- it is very possible that he was "never a suspect" because Colorado law does not allow him to be. Persons under 10 can't be indicted, charged, even named as being part of a crime even if it is KNOWN they committed it.

If his lawyer was present then I don't put much weight when it comes to BR's interview...I saw the R's lawyers in action......guess 9 out of 10 questions were about the weather..sigh..........

Another thing......what was the tone of JR's voice when he told BR "we're not speaking to you" ?angry? more like leave me alone,I am busy?or more like see what you've done?

It will never be easy for Burke Ramsey to live a normal life with most people knowing about his young sister having been being murdered, and everyone will always wonder about him being a part of it (?). He did take a swing at her with a golf club, causing Patsy to rush her to the doctor. Doubts will always be present because this is a murder which like many others will be discussed for many years.

You gave me a big chuckle just now as I read your last sentence. "Doubts will always be present because this is a murder which like many others will be discussed for many years". Chuckle chuckle chuckle. We here, have been discussing it for 13 years.

I have to admit that the entire Burke scene has been a quandary for me from the very beginning. Once I said that IF he was the doer of the deed I wouldn't be surprised at all. His actions or rather reactions that morning were questionable I think. His place in the family was a difficult one I think. And I would go so far as to say that he acted like a strange little boy at times. i.e., when he was questioned by someone he asked if the Rolex watch was a Presidential model. Whoa! And weren't his drawings questioned by an art therapist? I have no sources for those questions but only a remembrance. (And God only knows how good that is these days) Heh!

I remembered the Rolex comment but don't remember the therapeutic drawings part Zoomama. Now you've got me thinking I need to read Hodges book!

Burke Ramsey seemed to have recovered his memory, but to me his
answers seemed awkward and he was clearly uncomfortable. When
asked how he thought JonBenet had been killed, he replied, "I have no

idea." In his first interview he had been explicit in describing what
happened to her. He confirmed that her bed-wetting had been a big
problem.

With his legs pulled up and his chin on his knees, Burke said he
played some Nintendo on the afternoon of December 25. When
showed a photograph of the pineapple and bowl, he recognized the
bowl. That showed it belonged in the house and was not brought in by
an intruder. He recalled nothing unusual at the Whites' party other than
getting a mild shock from the electric deer fence outside.

He said that his sister fell asleep in the car on the way home but
awakened to help carry presents into the house of a friend. When they
got home, JonBenet walked in slowly and went up the spiral stairs to
bed, just ahead of Patsy. That was quite a difference from the initial and
frequently repeated story that she was carried to bed. I felt that this poor
kid was confused and that he really had no idea what had happened that
night.

He heard the "house creaking" during the night, he said, and when
he awoke, his mother was turning on the lights and in a rush, saying,
"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh," then his father turned the lights off again.
Burke stayed in bed "wondering if something bad had happened." He
heard his father trying to calm his mother, then telling her to call the
police.

Burke told the detective he did not get out of bed that morning and
that a policeman looked into his room. He recalled thinking that when
the police arrived "we would probably be tied up all day" and that
he was disappointed the family would not be going to Charlevoix as
planned.

When the three days of interviews about his sister's murder were
over, Detective Schuller asked the boy if there was anything he wanted
to ask. Burke said yes and pointed to the detective's wristwatch. "Is that
a Rolex?"

There was a new sex angle going on, of which we had been unaware,
and it involved Susan Bennett, the Internet junkie known as Jameson.
It was she who had sent the DA's office the early Internet communications
that had turned out to be so damning for linguist Don Foster.

Now we learned that Jameson was posting confidential information
on the Web, and it looked to us as if she had an inside source.

In the following days and weeks, Lou Smit admitted that he talked to
Jameson "a lot" because "she has good information." Smit said Jameson

claimed to have secret information about the Whites, their Christmas
party, and what the children did. She passed Smit a tip about another
Internet junkie who had found a Web site for child pornography and
thought one of the children shown in an explicit sexual pose looked
like the daughter of Ramsey housekeeper Linda Hoffmann-Pugh. The
DA's office began an investigation.

I'd never heard about the kiddie porn-LHP link. I KNOW we'd have heard about it if it had been true, so I am assuming it was not.
As far as BR and the drawings- he was asked to draw his family, and he drew his SURVIVING family- Patsy, John and himself. I recall reading that the therapist said it was very abnormal for a child to leave the dead sibling out of the picture so soon after the death.
