I have a personal request. Please, each of you follow this link:

http://www.kvue.com/news/rachelcooke.html

Click on the link to Robert Cooke's daily journal and read his journal
    entry for Monday, March 25.

Once you have read RC's entry, please, please, join me in a letter writing
campaign to ask these organizations to involved when a missing person is
over the age of 12-14 at least to the extent of posting flyers. I
will make this effort easier by providing as many of the email addresses
    as I can.

Thank you. I know each of you is an advocate of justice for all
missing, abused and exploited people, not simply kids under a certain age.

The Problem:

Congress in Title IV - Missing Children - of the Juvenile Justice and
Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended.

The term "missing child" is operationally defined by Congress as
any individual less than 18 years of age whose whereabouts are unknown
to such individual's legal custodian if:

• the circumstances surrounding such individual's disappearance indicate
that such individual may possibly have been removed by another from the
    control of such individual's legal custodian without such custodian's consent;
    or

• the circumstances of the case strongly indicate that such individual
is likely to be abused or sexually exploited.

How can we help?

We need to write our local congressman and demand that there be a law
written much like this one that states that any person missing in
    which:

• the circumstances surrounding such individual's disappearance
indicate that such individual may possibly have been removed by another
from the control of such individual's legal custodian without such custodian's
consent (in the case of one over 18 the custodian would be that person's
    self); or

• the circumstances of the case strongly indicate that such individual
is likely to be abused or sexually exploited.

the person is to be assumed missing or abducted, not a runaway until
such time as it is proven that the person left by their own choice under
    no duress.

To locate and write to your state congressman (most of these have pop-up
    email boxes):
