There is no way to commit a sex crime in Bangkok that I know of. You can go and get your child bride there and the pedi ho's are thicker than molasses, unfortunately. That's why the area is a magnet for pedophiles.
I couldn't see Pastey having her "fling" in the house on Christmas Eve when the man of the house was present as well. Probably it would be wise to interject here that her appearance and her surgeries and other treatments would have left her in a less than optimal state of reproductive health, even at that time. I believe PR looked a LOT older than this guy, and there would be no draw for him...coyote love. Please! It's only by the grace of God and the chemo that Pastey wasn't comparing chins and panniculus rellenos with the rest of them. Ugh.

Regarding Karr's mouthpiece dropping a dime on him ... well ... Thailand may well have different laws in this regard. That wouldn't be an issue in U.S. courts (... at least I wouldn't think so).

At the same time, lawyers are notorious whores in ANY country. You could probably grease some skids with a very tiny number of dollars in Thailand.

Lawyers ... As a breed ... (like pitbulls) ... are given to certain tendencies.

I was considering a career in 'TheLaw' at one point whilst at MSU (Candy's digs). I spent a great deal of time in courts ... watching and talking with attorneys and judges. Without exception, ALL had confessed to sacrificing their ideals to "practicallity". Success was NOT Justice ... it was WINNING. And in many cases, that meant winning at ANY COST.

It was very disillusioning. Without exception ... ALL, at times, sacrificed their clients to 'practical' plea bargains. Likewise, ALL busted their asses to get other GUILTY clients off scott free if there were dollars or prestige to be garnered. Justice was LOST.

I saw idealistic people ... friends who I respected ... I saw them gradually succumb to whatever was in THEIR best career interests rather than what was in the best interest of Justice.

The sad part ... and the reason that I opted out ... was that I KNEW that I would succumb to the same pressures. The pressures are HUGE ... to compete ... to win ... or prosper ... or ALL. That almost ALWAYS meant weighing what was in the attorney's best career interest.

Sure ... there were SOME isolated cases where moral conviction was preeminent. And there were a LOT of pro bono interests. But as attorneys got longer and longer in the tooth, those cases were just a means of retaining a glimmer of self respect.

TheLaw is a DogEatDog world ... and self interest was almost ALWAYS the Victor. It's a cruel sport.

Mind you ... many of my friends were .. ARE ... BRILLIANT. And they entered the fray with the BEST of intentions ... and ALL gave away fragment after fragment of their ideals ... of themselves along the way.

Sure ... we've ALL seen courtroom heroics. I HONESTLY get choked up whenever I see it. But that is the exception to the rule.

It's the nature of the beast ... TheLaw is a meatgrinder.

A few ... a very, very few ... are strong enough to hold onto themselves ... their ideals ... Justice.


The very simple FACT is that, TheLaw has very little to do with TRU JUSTICE. That's why Darkies are jailed for LIFE for THREE non-violent car thefts, while corporate PREDATORS receive MINIMAL sentences (at worst) for stealing MILLION$.


I WILL say this ... birds of a feather tend to flock together ... and those truly COMMITTED to JUSTICE tend to unite. But they are few and far between. For every YOU, there are three dozen who are in an almost constant migration to the DarkSide.


Some ... who have gained some success and independence ... will return to their roots as they age ... become secure. But how much damage has been done?


TheLaw is a harsh ... VERY harsh world. I do NOT ... and I repeat ... I DO NOT believe that Lawyers are naturally corrupt, or immoral. But I have SEEN that slippery slope ... and it is sooooOOooo severe a slope that few in this field of superior intellect survive the climb without sacrificing JUSTICE for something "simpler".

I have the UTMOST respect for those who wade into the melee with the best of intention ... and even MORE respect for those who make the trek without faltering. You are GODS!

But ... TheLaw ... TheLaw is a meatgrinder. Few make the summit ... and even fewer make the summit without leaving corpses in their paths.


I think that I might have made a decent Lawyer ... IF it was ONLY about JUSTICE. But that ain't reality. It became clear to ME that I ... ME ... MOI ... couldn't play this game ... under the rules in play. And I wasn't willing to do that.

... and I admit that I took the coward's way out. I chose NOT to buck that system. I chose a route that I could succeed at withoiut wasting away.

Death of a 6 year old beauty-queen
Police catch the killer – after 10 years

For 10 years the murder of the 6 year old beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey bothered the Americans. Now it seems that the case is solved. The Thai Officials arrested a suspect.

San Francisco – It’s the 26 th of December 1996. Patsy Ramsey, the mother of small JonBenet, which won lots of prizes in Child Beauty Contests, informed the police about the kidnapping of her little daughter. She seemed to have found a ransom note, that the kidnappers want the amount of 118.000 USD.

A few hours later the death body of the girl was found – in a small room in the cellar of her parents house in Boulder in Colorado. The mouth of the small Miss is taped, on the right wrist of her hands a rope is hanging. The Autopsy says: The girl died after a hit with a blunt object against her head. Under her fingernails the Police detected DNA, but was unable to match it.

During the 10 years of investigation also the parents were suspects. But they said, that an inruder entered their house and killed JonBenet. JonBenets mother died with cancer this June in the age of 49.

Now the Thai Officials announced, that they have found the Killer of small JonBenet in Bangkok. The 41 year old man seemed to have confessed to be responsible for the death of this child. But he claimed, that the death was an accident. In a short time he should be brought to the United States.

The Police said, that Karr landed in Thailand not long ago – he was looking for a job as an English teacher. “A lot of criminals come to Thailand to work here as teachers for several languages†the Chiefinvestigator Suwat Tumroungsiskul said. “They are very dangerous!†Only a few days ago there was an arrest warrant given against that suspect because of kidnapping, sexual molestation and murder. Together with the agents of the FBI the Thai investigators were behind him.

The murder of JonBenet Ramsey leaded the Americans in great discussions over the years about Child Beauty Contests. For about months the US TV Stations showed films how the blonde, blue-eyed JonBenet in sexy Outfits, with make up and lavish gestures danced in front of the cameras. The Critizizers meant that these Contents were close to child pornography. Around 500.000 children join every year these Beauty Contests.

 

I just watched CNN, saw and heard John Mark Carr say that JonBenet's death was an accident, and that he loved her. He looked very startled,and I am reminded of another sick individual being interviewed, Gary Oliva. Like the legal analyst ln CNN stated, we have to wait and see what develops.

How could this 42 year old have had access to JonBenét Ramsey before. without Patsy knowing anything about it. We don't know enough yet.

Great post, Yum Yum. Of course, you're right. I think that's what this case has taught us. If the Ramseys had just gone to the BPD and helped LE immediately, instead of hiding behind lawyers who treated them like criminals, and who mowed down anyone and everyone who got in the way of protecting them as guilty clients, they'd never have come off as guilty, would they?

But how many people is it going to take, how many ruined lives and broken hearts, before the truth about this murder sees the light of day?
