What is interesting to me in this is LW's constant claims that everything prosecution-wise exposing Ramsey culpability is inaccurate, challenging authenticity. Note his statement regarding transcripts of prior interviews. Everything is wrong but his version. Why is that interesting? It's a poorly disguised, thin defense in absence of anything substantial. No longer is Smit's chit being run up the flagpole with demands to salute it. No longer is there crack investigative team effort to beat the now-shredded bushes for an intruder. NOW all we're hearing is a ridiculous attack on every piece of evidence that points to Ramsey guilt in any way and nothing else. If that's LW's BEST shot, they're in big trouble....

And nobody's buying this crapola either. The Ramsey defense is petering out...perhaps that's why LW has been so quiet lately. Nothing else to claim....

During John Ramsey's August 2000 interview (this followed Patsy's interview) he is asked about the Hi-Tech boots but this time the questioner devulges more info:

But we've been provided information from two sources that your son Burke..prior to the murder of your daughter.. owned and wore High-Tec boots that had a compass on them, which makes them distinctive. Do you recall..if you don't recall that..that they were High-Tec boots, do you remember Burke having..shoes..boots that had a compass on the laces?"

John Ramsey.
16:53:43:17 Vaguely. I don't know if they were boots or tennis shoes. My...memory is they were tennis shoes. But..that's very vague. He had boots that had lights on 'em and sort's of different things.

Internet crazies have been bringing me to LinWad's attention since GSquared's visit to Atlanta in 1999. She shared her opinion that I had personally "made-up" the Burke did it theory in order to divert attention from the cross-generational pedophilia that tainted my family and the White family for decades.(info that she proudly posted as affirmed by Nancy Krebs) G2 is also on record as having shared that misinformation with the FBI. The crazy Mary's are bush league in comparison to G2. (Don't go Postal Gail)

To date, neither LinWad or the FBI has contacted me. I'm at home; G2, Jams, and ex-p** have the number.

BTW, several years ago, I worked on a proposal in Huntsville Alabama responding to a NASA RFP. My company's joint venture partner was Aerospace - I worked directly with three guys who flew in from LA to help on the prop. I asked if they knew anything about the JBR case 911 tape enhancement and was told by one guy that "there is definately words after PR finished talking to the 911 operator" but no one is saying what.

My question, Spade, is why is the tape being "re-enhanced" (or enhanced again) and why so long doing this?

On Saturday, August 16, Patsy, Burke, and I attended an all-day picnic at Big Canoe, north of Atlanta, with our old friends and their children. This was an annual event we had missed during our years in Boulder. We returned home at dusk to find Pam and Nedra sitting in their car in our front driveway. Our house had been broken into, or at least it seemed so. Apparently the alarm had gone off at 4:30 in the afternoon, but Pam and Nedra didn't discover the problem until 8:30 that night when they had arrived at the house. What had happened to our security system?

After growing tired of waiting for the police, I entered the house, armed with a cast iron frying pan (the only weapon I could find), and went through every room. I admit I was frightened as I opened closets and stuck my head into the attic, but I was buoyed by the thought that if the intruder were JonBenet's killer, I would have an opportunity to finally face him myself.

I found a basement window unlatched, right over our newly installed telephone junction box. Normally the phone company wants these boxes outside the house so they can get at them, but we had moved it inside so our phones couldn't be easily tapped. Was this window unlatched by someone for a later return to tap our phones? Or worse, to get into the house? We never knew. After several calls to our security monitoring service, which should have dispatched a call to the police at 4:30, they finally told us there was a note in our computer file that said not to call the police if an alarm was detected! Where did that come from? Again, we will probably never know.

Later that evening, as we were trying to relax, we received a call from Pam, who said she had just gotten off the phone with a lady in Boulder, Jacqueline Dilson had reported to the Boulder police that she believed her live-in lover, Chris Wolf, might be the person they were seeking. When she couldn't get them to respond, she finally called Patsy's mother, Nedra, and she in turn called Pam, who immediately called Jackie back.

Jacqueline Dilson worked at the Dakota Ranch, a small retreat and conference center near Lyons, Colorado, which pushed New Age experiences. She had allowed Wolf to move into her trailer in 1995. Chris Wolf turned out to be a reporter for the Colorado Daily and the Boulder County Business Report with a master's degree in journalism. His strange behavior before Christmas and early on the morning after Christmas raised Dilson's concern about what Wolf had done all night.

Apparently Dilson spent Christmas Day with Wolf, but he would not stay to have supper with her and her family. Somewhere around 10:00 P.M. Jacqueline went to bed, thinking Wolf had gone off on a spree of some kind or the other. At around 5:30 A.M., sounds from the bathroom woke Jackie up, and she realized that Wolf was getting out of the shower. He had left dirty clothes all over the floor. Without explanation of where he'd been, Wolf crawled into bed and went to sleep.

Later the next day, Dilson and Wolf watched the television news reports of

JonBenet's death. To her surprise, she observed him becoming quite agitated. Wolf cursed and said he believe JonBenet had been sexually abused by her father. For the rest of the evening, Wolf brooded over the case.

According to Dilson, Wolf hated big business and had a fascination with world political disputes and political violence. Most important, she said that at one time Chris Wolf had been given a sweatshirt with the initials SBTC (the signature on the ransom note), which stood for Santa Barbara Tennis Club. We considered this a very significant lead and gave all the information we had to the police.

We also learned that on January 30 police officers had stopped Wolf at 11:00 A.M. as he drove into Boulder; they discovered he was driving with a suspended license. The woman officer took him to the police station for further questioning when Wolf abruptly told her that the police would make better use of their time by chasing the killer of JonBenet Ramsey. He definitely caught everyone's attention wit that remark. Detectives Ron Gosage and Steve Thomas started interrogating Chris Wolf with hard questions about our child.

When they asked Wolf to write some of the words from the ransom note, he refused. The police put him in handcuffs, but he still refused. Finally the two detectives put him in jail, pending the resolution of this suspended license. Later that day Wolf was released.

Wolf later reported that Steve Thomas and John Eller called him a few weeks afterward to come down to the police department. Once there, they told him, "We have no interest in you." but they did confirm that someone had given his name to the police as a possible suspect.

Whatever the police's intentions, Wolf went on our suspect list. He represented too many unanswered questions.

At the end of August, I left Patsy and Burke in Atlanta for a business trip to Boulder. While there I talked with Father Rol Haverstock, seeking his counsel on what to do with the house we still owned in Boulder, but which sat vacant. I simply couldn't figure out what to do with the property. I could try and sell it , but that would be nearly impossible, now that it was the scene of a murder.

What is also interesting here is that by the end of August 1997 John Ramsey went to Boulder and again on September 29th where he had a meeting with his private investigators, David Williams and Ellis Armistead and in DOI John Ramsey brings up reference to Miss Dilson and Chris Wolf again.

Bryan Morgan, Hal Haddon, and Pat Burke told me that getting paid for their time was not an issue. Catching the killer was"

We were all united in the number one goal of finding the killer, even thought they would remind me from time to time that their number one goal had to be to protect our innocence.

By this time a suspect, Chris Wolf, captured our renewed interest. Jacqueline Dilson said that Wolf had some photographs of JonBenet out of newspaper articles, some military magazines - the solder of fortune kind of stuff - and some pornographic photos of himself. Public records showed that he had once been arrested for public indecency.

Curious as to why was it necessary three years later (from 1997 to 2000) for Dilson to video tape herself with her story to the Ramseys.

Note: In the Wolf vs Ramsey lawsuit in the March 31, 2003 Judge Carnes report (pg 58 thru pg 60), Carnes used ONLY the references of Miss Dilson regarding Chris Wolf DIRECTLY from the pages of DOI. There is no reference in Carnes report to any "video tape" of Miss Dilson and her story to the Ramseys.

Gee it seems that Susan "jameson" Bennett claims to know more about Burke boots, when they were purchased, where they were purchased and what brand they were yet Burke's own parents, John and Patsy Ramsey have no recall or clue.

BlueCrab claims that the Ramseys bought a pair of shoes for Burke when they were in NYC in early December, 1996 - - he is right about that.

But he says they were Hi-Tec boots and they were NOT - - the Ramseys bought Burke a pair of Nike Air Jordans. They were purchased at Niketown on 5th Avenue. And yes, they did have them sent home to Colorado.

So the question begs to be asked... who is BlueCrab's source - and are they telling BlueCrab lies or is he twisting the facts himself?

Thanks again for the info. It helped a great deal to fill in the picture. Although some details are missing, I think there is little doubt that ditsy Dilson and what she had to say about Wolf was an unexpected, but most opportune moment for the Ramseys to point the finger elsewhere. Of course, they pointed fingers everywhere, but the circumstance made Wolf the most likely fall guy if any of the finger pointing was going to do any good.

It didn't pan out of course. When the police told Wolf they had no interest in him, that pretty much did it. Under the circumstance, had there been even a passing hint that Wolf could have been involved, you can be sure the police would have stayed with it. They had nowhere else outside to go. You can also bet the Ramseys milked this cow dry. I imagine just about anybody and everybody who had some interest in pointing this finger was in on the exchange(s) with Dilson. And Patsy's can't remember if she ever talked to Dilson?

No prob, Spade, I'm very grateful to you for posting both the 911 tape revelations and now these depo transcripts. The depo testimony is priceless; impeachment value is immense.

BTW, it's wrong to refer to Candy as a paralegal, she's not. Doesn't have any credentials, just an enormous appetite to familiarize herself with famous, and infamous, attorneys. And I've never been able to tolerate misinformation re legal things in this case, so many armchair-lawyers...it's true, a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. You just keep posting your lil ole heart out, Spade, and IF the WOODpile rears it's ugly head, just holler and your back-up is a post away, k? Shadow: I don't like the term "enhanced". IMO "Filtered" is more accurate. John and Burke's voices can be heard after the hang-up attempt when you FILTER out the noises in the foreground. The version of the 911 call that the Boulder DA's office released to the public 2+ months ago had "noise" ADDED to it in an attempt to obfuscate John and Burke's voices. This "noise" was created by a magnet being drawn across the audio tape. When the lab identified this attempt to obfuscate, I contacted LE and was given an opinion that it was no different than redacting portions of a written document. Please be patient, we are on the right course.

The idea that I came by/post the transcripts of the Atlanta interviews "illegally" is ridiculous. ex- and darnay are worried that if this information goes public it will cut the profits from their scam to sell the same info to the tabs. That is the reason Fleet White hired a lawyer to have his deposition in the Wolfe case sealed and why ex- has turned on the White's.

 

The 1st Atlanta Interviews

For several years I have had a surprisingly accurate synopsis of the BPD notes. This synopsis was written in 1998 by a legal secretary who worked at the office of one of the BPD's dream team. The synopsis was sold by the secretary's nephew to two different newspapers for $70,000. Here is her version of the 1st time the BPD conducted interviews in Atlanta:

As the grieving parents were making their television debut on CNN on January 1, Dets. Trujillo, Gosage, Thomas, and Harmer were spending New Year's day on a flight to Atlanta, Georgia for the first interviews with friends and family of the Ramseys. The Boulder detectives were met at the Atlanta Hartsfeld Airport by their Roswell, Georgia counterparts. The Roswell police department had already arranged for space for the Boulder detectives at their police headquarters, including a locked, secured office and interview rooms.

On January 2, a reluctant Rev. Harrington agreed to meet with the detectives, but requested that his superior in the church and his attorney be present. Harrington also stated that he would not divulge any specific information about confessions he may have heard and refused to allow the interview to be recorded. After all the formalities required by the Reverend, the information gleaned from the meeting appeared to have little value. He stated that he was not aware of anyone involved in the case and had no suspicions of anyone. It was also his opinion that no one acted inappropriately at the funeral service. He did concede that neither John nor Patsy had confided in him about being involved in JonBenet's death.

Interviews with Nedra Paugh, Lucinda Johnson (John's first wife), John Andrew and Melinda were set for the next day. Nedra's interview, conducted in the Paugh family home, consisted mainly of gathering information on family backgrounds. The detectives noticed that the living room of the house resembled a shrine for their daughter's pageant memorabilia. It was filled with trophies, ribbons and photos from Patsy's and Pam's beauty contest years.

Lucinda Johnson also supplied background information on John during the years of their marriage and confirmed the alibis of her two children, John Andrew and Melissa, on the night of the murder.

While in Atlanta, the detectives also talk with Rod Westmoreland by telephone for a brief interview. Westmoreland, who works for Merrill Lynch in Atlanta but was out of town at the time of the interview was John's best friend and financial consultant. He had assisted the family with the funeral arrangements both in Boulder and in Atlanta.

Within days of the funeral, lines began forming separating those who continued to support the Ramseys and the former friends. One of the families placed on the side opposite John and Patsy was the family of Fleet and Priscilla White. A confrontation had occurred between Fleet and John's brother, Jeff Ramsey, on December 31 the day after the funeral and the Whites were asked to leave the Paugh home where they had been staying and move to a hotel. When contacted by the Boulder detectives, the Whites denied that such an incident had occurred. However, in the interview with Westmoreland who had been present during the incident, he told the detectives that Fleet was upset with the involvement of the Ramsey’s, attorneys in the investigation and their lack of cooperation with the police department. Fleet started an argument with Jeff at Westmoreland's home, went to the home of Jeff Ramsey to continue the argument, and then ended up at the Paugh residence still arguing. Westmoreland was concerned enough with the heat of the verbal exchange that he contacted the Boulder detectives to ask that someone respond to the Pauqh residence. Soon after this incident, John Ramsey told the Boulder police that in his opinion Fleet White was a prime suspect in the murder.

Follow up interviews in Atlanta occurred on January 3 and again on February 16.

Interesting thought here. Judge Carnes only used Miss Dilson's account on pointing a finger at Chris Wolf and that account came from the the pages of DOI as stated in Carnes March 2003 order.

But according to DOI, the account of the story was not from Miss Dilson to John and Patsy Ramsey but from Dilson to Nedra and then to Pam Paugh and then from Pam to the Ramseys so it wasn't a first party direct exchange of information.

I wonder if there was a "need" for "somebody" to get a video tape of Miss Dilson speaking directly to the Ramseys to throw into the "cover my " category so the Ramseys could vouch "after the fact" of the DOI account so it would be changed from Dilson's story "first party" to Pam to making it appear as Dilson story was given directly to the Ramseys (via the video tape)? Just a thought.
