DNA question

    It sounded to me (kind of reading between the lines) that the Ramsey camp has used markers from unknown sources found in all the different places to come up with a "complete" profile of 13.
    So, they have the 9 decent markers, plus 1 weak marker. And then from the hand samples, they have the total of 3 markers.
    So (even though there is nothing to say that the DNA in those different spots are from the same person), they have a total of 13 markers (9 + 1 + 2 + 1).
    I'm making some assumptions, but so are they.
