"Carolyn French, a spokeswoman for Boulder County District Attorney Mary Lacy, said Monday that the Boulder prosecutor is not responsible for the timing of Karr's travel itinerary.

"We aren't doing anything right now" concerning Karr, said French. "The judge has given them until 5 o'clock Wednesday to pick him up, and that's where it's at."

If Sonoma County deputies have not collected Karr by the end of the day Wednesday, French said, "There would most likely be a hearing" in Boulder District Court.

San Jose, Calif., lawyer Jamie Harmon, who said she remains part of Karr's legal team, speculated that Karr's extradition has been delayed to give Sonoma County a chance to prepare more serious charges."

I think Jamie Harmon is wrong. Why did they send a team to collect him if your paperwork isn't done.
Watch Karr walk out a free man tomorrow at 5:00...

    John Mark Karr leaves Boulder
By Charlie Brennan, Rocky Mountain News
    September 12, 2006
John Mark Karr, the man arrested last month for investigation in the slaying of JonBenet Ramsey, is no longer at the Boulder County Jail and is apparently on his way to Sonoma County to face child pornography charges there.

Boulder County Sheriff's Division Chief Larry Hank said at 3:10 p.m. today that Karr was no longer at the jail, where he had been held without bail since being brought to Colorado Aug. 24. Hank refused to disclose any other details, other than to say that Karr was in the custody of Sonoma County sheriff's deputies.

As recently as 10 a.m. today, Karr was still in Boulder, with no officials openly discussing what plans there might be to transport Karr to Santa Rosa, Calif.

During the Aug. 29 hearing at which Karr waived extradition, Boulder District Judge Roxanne Bailin had set Wednesday as the deadline for moving Karr to California.

This selective memory will likely be a crutch Boulder uses again and again whenever they are caught with their pants down and valid information surfaces.
