Thanks, BobC, for a terrific report. You have us all on the edge of our ergonomically designed computer seats.

I agree with Hunter that he had no case. BUT I think he should have had them arrested anyhow, for probable cause. That way he could have separated and interrogated them whether they liked it or not. The key to the case would have been any inconsistencies in their stories. And getting one to cooperate in spilling the beans on the other. THAT was a HUGE lost opportunity.

    Please continue . . .

"well here's a surprising statement, Henry Lee said the police were "pursuing other major suspects, and BUrke Ramsey certainly fell into that category." page 183"

    Damn. ... I mean dog.

Wise criticized the cops investigation to a reporter, but then he kinda paniced and tried to get his quotes taken out of an artcle on the case set to appear the next day. Koby found out about the remarks and demanded that Wise be taken off the case. Hunter refused and Wise supposedly apologized profusely butit ddin't matter. The cops vs the DA thing was once again enflamed

    And a leg of lamb.

DocG, if he had arrested them wouldn't that have entitled them to all of the forensics and discovery? I think they wanted to protect what they had on them.

JC--surprised me too but remember this story is being told in chronological order so maybe the suspicion about Burke gets cleared up eventually. Actually, I know it got cleared up but haven't read that in this book so far

I just ordered this book. I couldn't find it in the bookstore, yet, and I like buying used books from Amazon.com, anyway.

Bob, what a doll you are reviewing this book for us. I am amazed and grateful that Henry Lee has finally decided to let it all hang out and tell it like it is. Others have done this and got sued by the Woody ambulance chaser, but I've got some real good advice for Limpwood. Don't go there, pal. Henry Lee is perhaps one of the only ones who Wood doesn't want to try going up against, because Lee can most likely back up most of his conclusions in this case. What is interesting is that Lee is saying the same things we have been saying for years. Guess that makes him a beer can collector, too.

This sure makes Keenan and her friend, Lou Smit, look really really stupid. I hope this is only the beginning of the exposure in this case. It could conceivably be the catalyst that forces the attorney general of Colorado, and possibly of the United States, to investigate the corruption and incompetence in Boulder once and for all, and for an independent prosecutor and investigating team to be appointed.

Lee confirms about fibers and the trace DNA from a different person. Cops went to Boulder prostitutes asking if they knew JR, and they all said no, flat-out. No links to porn or prostitutes with JR. Said most hand-writing experts ruled JR out, but not Patsy

FBI, after reviewing autopsy and other forensic information, conclude that THE EVIDENCE of SEXUAL ABUSE WAS MEANT TO MISLEAD INVESTIGATORS--in other words, part of the staging

    LOL

Bob, I've been hanging on your every word. Thank you so much for the review and the summaries of Dr. Lee's very brave endeavor to speak what we have all been speaking for so long. He had the real life issue of whether or not to risk a lawsuit from Wood and chose to do this anyway.

So what, I ordered the book already. I'll just have to look at the pictures

    ...there ARE pictures aren't there?
    :crosseyed

please say there are pictures Bob

    :)
    right Bob, there are pictures?

Ick to JR and the prostitutes, even the thought.

WY, I ordered mine used from amazon too. Got it for around $13, a lot cheaper than the original price. Even with shipping. Can't wait to get it.

DocG, I agree, they should have been arrested for probable cause for the reasons you state. To me, it would have been a helluva lot better than where the case stands today, under Keenan-Hunter-in a skirt, collecting dust. But that's just my opinion. Maybe it was a risk, I dunno. Either way, the opportunity was blown. I've seen a lot more cases taken to trial with less evidence known to the public.

FBI said the garrote mark on JBR's neck was even, so no struggle while the garroting took place. FBI said that a garrote to kill a kid was "unprecendented." Extremely unusual.

    Staging.

I just purchased the book an hour ago. Interesting that the swamp doesn't even have a thread about this, I guess they are pretending it does not exist.

One of the last few sentences say:

"I think it is quite possible that some kind of horrific domestic accident may have occurred involving this little girl."

    Thanks Bob

You must be from my generation. Nobody in the newer generation ever uses Babs.

When I was a kid, everyone called me that, but haven't heard it since.

Keep up the review. I can barely stand the wait.

It wasn't so long ago when I had to wait 30 days for each of the six installments of Stephen King's The Green Mile. It came out in six monthly mini books.

It's deja vu all over again!

    Exactly, Sabrina.

And thank you, BobC, for making FFJ the forum of record for this amazingly revealing book summary.

And thank you, Dr. Lee, for the guts to write it.

Edited in the name of good taste. heh
