Update on the John Ramsey Campaign Trail:

Strong Voice Express Tour a Success!

100 new campaign supporters recruited and ready to work.

Last week John and Patsy Ramsey toured the district in the Strong Voice Express campaign bus and picked up strong support for the Ramsey message of a Strong Voice for Northern Michigan.

The campaign signed up approximately 100 new supporters who have pledged to work to elect John Ramsey. A special thank you to those of you who have contributed financially thus far. If you have not yet contributed, please click here to donate on our secure online donation system.

June 3rd-6th Mancelona - Bass Festival – John and Patsy Ramsey were setup at the Mancelona Bass Festival day after day meeting festival goers, giving out yard signs, and talking about the issues of importance to Northern Michigan. We expect Antrim County to be very close in the August 3rd Primary because of the strong support for Ramsey and two reputable candidates from Antrim County.

June 8th Cheboygan - Ramsey Headquarters Grand Opening – John, Patsy, and the campaign team attended the grand opening of the campaign headquarters in Cheboygan. We want to give a special thank you to approximately 50 supporters who showed up to support our efforts. Cheboygan county is the only county in the 105th district without a candidate running and we were very much encouraged by the strong support we received.

June 10th Gaylord - Outdoor Meet and Greet – Approximately 60 people attended the Ramsey meet and greet featuring hotdogs from Hot Rod Dog’s Coney and Grill. We signed up numerous new supporters from Gaylord and were honored with multiple campaign donations from Otsego county voters.

June 11th East Jordan – Candidate Meet and Greet - John and Patsy held a meet and greet in East Jordan on Friday to add to their substantial support in Charlevoix County. Charlevoix is clearly Ramsey country. A big thank you to all of the strong supporters who have showed up at the campaign headquarters to go door to door, distribute yard signs, and drop off donations. Thank you!

June 12th Cheboygan - Relay for Life - In the midst of 6 chemotherapy treatments, Patsy was invited and ran in the Cancer Relay for Life in Cheboygan. She is a 12 year survivor and looking forward to many more. Good job Patsy!

June 12th Gaylord - Sea Plane Fly In - John, Patsy, and Burke Ramsey went to the Sea Plane Fly In in Gaylord and earned support from voters in various areas of the district.

June 16th Charlevoix - NMRWC Meet the Candidates - John and supporters attended the Northern Michigan Republican Women's club meet the candidates event in Charlevoix. All the candidates in the 105th district attended and the group put on a great event. A special thank you to all the Republican Women's club does for the party!

June 17th Charlevoix -Boyne Chamber After Hours, Broad School Reception - John attended the Boyne City Chamber After Hours at a Beautiful Bed and Breakfast on Deer Lake. Thank you to Wes Dilworth for the invitation and all your work for Ramsey in Boyne City! Following that nice event, John went to the home of Carol Ashley and listened to remarks by Bob Duncan, the Dean of the MSU Eli Broad College of Business.

June 18th Menominee - Today John flew with Republican National Committeeman Chuck Yob, Senator Jason Allen, and Senator Michelle McManus to Menominee, MI, to attend the funeral of Pat Carpio. Pat Carpio was the longest serving employee of the Michigan Republican Party and a friend to many of us. He died in an automobile accident earlier this week. Our hearts and prayers are with Pat; he was truly the hardest working grassroots Republican in Michigan. We'll miss ya, Pat. Also in attendance at the funeral were Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land, Michigan GOP Chairman Betsy DeVos, Republican National Committeewoman Holly Hughes, and State Representative Tom Casperson.

June 18th East Jordan - John Ramsey and Republican National Committeeman Chuck Yob golfed .

So refreshing to see that despite his wife's terrible illness and his lack of time to go door to door, fundraise, and clear up misconceptions, as well as going with his wife for her treatment, he still hasn't given up on golf.

    Yeah, he'd have my vote!

Look at that schedule! Ignoring hair loss, the negative side effects of chemo such as fatigue and nausea, and often damage to other organs as it fights the cancer one has to wonder what the h*ll John is thinking.

Here is the last statement in an article about Specialized Chemo, which I would presume Patsy may be getting:

Since such high doses are delivered to one organ, that organ may have some short-term effects. For example, in liver treatments, liver dysfunction can occur for a week or two.

Since Patsy doesn't have the sense to stay home and rest, her family needs to step in and knock some sense into that self-centered, callous b*stard who shouldn't even be running for office at this time. JMH&CPO

Personally, I think Patsy is having the time of her life with this campaign! Should someone who is terminally ill be denied a bit of fun?

There is na very courageous lady who is terminally ill with breast cancer in the UK just now. A few weeks ago, she ran the London Marathon and then she and her brother rode a tandem from Rome to their home town in England - 2000 miles - to raise money for charity. She has only a ahort time to live although she lived longer than her initial prognosis several years ago. Now she has stated that she is finished. She wants to spend her remaining weeks with her family.

Wow, I'm amazed anyone can run while undergoing Chemo. I thought it drained the body of all energy.

It was a relay race so I would imagine each participant would only run a short distance.

That may well be Jayelles but in DOI Patsy made it a point to discuss how ill she was during her first round of chemo and each time she goes through this it has to be taking a harder toll on her physically. She has a son who she needs to be considering she may be leaving motherless soon if she does not at least slow down and take care of herself. She needs to try to stick around to see him through high school at a minimum. JMH&CPO
