And in the words of Dr. Lee,

"This not a DNA case!" And I think he should know. Didn't he see most if not all the evidence.

And how about THAT Ms. Lacy!

TRICIA I would ask that you consider another press release stating what Jayelles has said here. I've been hopping up and down and saying this since yesterday when this story broke. This shows Lacy's obvious bias toward the Ramseys and shows how the Ramseys were always treated with kid gloves by the DA. Both DA's. (And to think Fleet and Priscilla couldn't even get a copy of their statements. No, there's no bias or favoritism here.) Another press release is in order. The public not as knowlegable about this case need to be shown what goes on behind the scenes in this case in Boulder. All they know is what Lacy wants them to know at this point.

That letter goes perfect with the Ransom Note! I am only surprised that it didn't end like this....

    Victory!

I absolutely agree! Reporters need to be asking these questions now about other people that were lower on the suspect chain and more than likely, only on the list because Team Ram put them there.

Chero, can you do anything with Lacy's signature? It looks pretty insecure to me. I think I remember that someone who has more than one slant to their writing is someone who doesn't know who she really is, or is insecure, or maybe has personality problems. Something like that. The bottom loops looking like safety pins is odd, too, methinks.

The press release was excellent and pointed out inconsistencies of Mary Lacy's statements.

To exhonerate someone because of minute amounts of foreign DNA being found on the victim's clothing is ridiculous. As was the entire John Mark Karr arrest/fiasco.

Mary Lacy sure likes to do "firsts" in her field, doesn't she. Makes you kind of wonder what sort of employment she will be persuing when she retires.

It is very interesting to read the Nancy Grace show transcript, I couldn't help but notice how John St Augustine first denied and then stammered over the autopsy results when Wendy Murphy later got a copy to read on air. Dr. Perper agreed with her as well. However, I wish she would have been able to tell the public that the stun gun St Augustine said that was used is only a THEORY and NOT a FACT.

Those of us who read at this forum know what fools St Augustine and Grey are, how they, along with Michael Tracey USED Michael Kenady to promote the false Michael Helgoth and Steve Gigax scenario to produce a FICTIONAL crockumentary to be aired in the U.K. FOR PROFIT.

    Thank you Karen

I think it's very important to be asking Lacy to officially and publicly clear everyone else whose DNA has been tested and to apologise to them too if they have been the subject of media/Internet speculation. It would serve more than one purpose:-

    1) Evenhandedness/lack of bias
    2) Utter confidence in the interpretation of the DNA results

I'd be very suspicious of any unwillingness to do so. If she declined, I would want to know why. I really do hope someone takes this up. I was looking for a contact for Dan Caplis but was unsuccessful.

I noticed that too! St. Augustine was like...well, I didn't say THAT, I said that I was not aware....

    Yeah, whatever...

Finding JonBenet's killer remains 'final goal'<o:p></o:p>
By CATHERINE TSAI | Associated Press Writer <o:p></o:p>
    10:24 AM CDT, July 10, 2008
BOULDER, Colo. - The family of Jon Benet Ramsey still holds out hope the 6-year-old beauty queen's killer will be found, her aunt said Thursday, a day after prosecutors cleared the girl's father, brother, and deceased mother in her slaying.

"We still don't have our killer yet. That's our final goal, and that's the goal that we're still striving toward, and we won't stop until we get there," said Pam Paugh, Patsy Ramsey's sister, on CBS' "The Early Show" Thursday.

"She went to her maker knowing that she had a clear conscience and a full heart."

Armed with genetic test results from a few invisible skin cells, prosecutors are now certain they have the DNA profile of the man who killed 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey Finding the man himself is another matter.
Investigators hoping to solve the nearly 12-year-old crime will have to locate a match in a growing national DNA database that currently has more than 5 million offenders' profiles.

How long it might take depends on whether the killer has any major brushes with the law that would make him subject to a mandatory DNA test.

"If this person has no criminal record and has never been DNA-typed in another case, this murderer is going to be on our streets," said Larry Pozner, a Denver attorney and a past president of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

The evidence against an unknown "third party" came Wednesday when prosecutors announced that new tests pointed to a mystery attacker and cleared JonBenet's parents and her older brother Burke.

It was a vindication for the Ramsey family, but the girl's mother, Patsy, had not lived long enough to see it. She died of cancer in 2006.

John Ramsey found his daughter's strangled and bludgeoned body in the basement of the family's home in Boulder on Dec. 26, 1996. Patsy Ramsey said she found a ransom note demanding $118,000 for her daughter.

For years after the slaying, tabloids and crime shows went after the couple, and then-District Attorney Alex Hunter said in 1997 that the parents were under an "umbrella of suspicion." News reports also cast suspicion on JonBenet's brother, who was 9 when his sister was killed.

"It has been too many years for this family to have suffered the injustice of being falsely accused of a crime they did not commit," said L. Lin Wood, lawyer for Patsy's husband, John.

Early in the investigation, police found male DNA in a drop of blood on JonBenet's underwear and determined it was not from anyone in her family. Investigators were unable to say who it came from and whether that person was the killer.

In 2003, the Ramseys got a major boost when a federal judge handling a defamation lawsuit involving the couple said the evidence was more consistent with the theory that an intruder killed JonBenet.

Three years later, only months after Patsy Ramsey died, the case seemed to veer into absurdity when John Mark Karr, an American teacher in Thailand, offered a bizarre confession to the slaying.

He was whisked from to Colorado but was released after prosecutors concluded he couldn't have killed her, and once again there was no prime suspect.

Then, late last year, prosecutors turned over long underwear JonBenet was wearing to the Bode Technology Group near Washington, which looked for "touch DNA," contained in skin cells left behind where someone has touched something. The lab has used this technology for at least three years.

The laboratory found previously undiscovered genetic material on the sides of the girl's long underwear, where an attacker would have grasped the clothing to pull it down, authorities said. The DNA matched the genetic material found earlier.

District Attorney Mary Lacy said the presence of the same male DNA in three places on the girl's clothing convinced investigators it belonged to JonBenet's killer and had not been left accidentally by an innocent party.

"It is therefore the position of the Boulder District Attorney's Office that this profile belongs to the perpetrator of the homicide," she said in a statement Wednesday. In a letter to the Ramseys, she said the DNA evidence "has vindicated your family."

Now investigators have DNA, if not a name.

Colorado Bureau of Investigation spokesman Lance Clem said Colorado's own database has 86,662 DNA profiles, all of which are entered in the national database.

The Colorado profiles include sex offenders dating back at least 20 years, plus any felon from the past three years in the Department of Corrections system, Clem said.

While Colorado's DNA database is updated continuously, the national database is updated several times a week, Clem said. The numbers are still small compared to the more than 55 million entries in the FBI's fingerprint database.

"I think it's simply a matter now of waiting for that day when they get a hit on the DNA and the person who brutally murdered this child is brought to justice," Wood said.

And "Santa" disquised his handwriting to look like Patsy's. Yeah, right. Couldn't you just imagine that frail, old man....climbing through that basement window (and not disturbing the spider web)...and sitting down and penning that almost three page RN?? WOW...he sure had her q's (8's) down, didn't he?

Oh yes, I can do A LOT with Lacy's signature. I've been wondering whether I should post it publicly or not.

I want someone to explain to me like I'm a six year old WHY the lab technician was ON TV FOR AN HOUR DISCUSSING THE LAB TESTING?

I mean, don't get me wrong, but I wanted to see that technician and hear what she had to say.

What I heard, and I haven't reread the transcript so I may be confused as it was moving rather quickly, was that this "PROBABLY" was a skin cell...which means THEY DON'T ACTUALLY KNOW FOR SURE!

There were other issues, like that the method of collecting this PROBABLE skin cell was SCRAPING the waist band and INSIDE OF THE PANTS with a TOOL. What? If that's the truth, then HOW DO THEY KNOW WHICH PART OF THE SCRAPINGS RESULTED IN THE DNA DISCOVERY?

And does this mean they now have a FULL 13+ MARKERS of DNA for this "unknown" person?

And does this mean that there is no other way for this CELL to have gotten in the long johns? I mean, if the Ramsey's fibers could be transferred through touch, why not DNA? I mean, they call it TOUCH DNA.

So could this have been transferred when the body was undressed at autopsy?

    Etc.

But honestly, I really don't believe any of this. Not until all the OTHER DNA FOUND IN THE LONG JOHNS IS REVEALED, because we KNOW Patsy said SHE PUT THEM ON JONBENET. Who handled them before that? The maid DOING THE LAUNDRY? Someone visiting for the holidays DOING LAUNDRY? Nedra or a nanny/babysitter?

And if this DNA is positively the killer's in Lacy's mind, why hasn't she had so much OTHER EVIDENCE tested for "touch DNA", as the reporter said? What about the garrote/cord? The paintbrush? What about John's sweater? Patsy's clothes? Burke's clothes? What about the Bloomies still in the package?

Oh, right. Those clothes WEREN'T COLLECTED FOR A YEAR. The original package of Bloomies wasn't collected FOR FIVE YEARS, WHILE THE RAMSEYS HELD ONTO THEM, UNBEKNOWNST TO LE.

I'm sorry, but I'm with Wendy Murphy: LET'S SEE ALL THE EVIDENCE!!

Because not for ONE MINUTE do I believe that it's beneath Team Ramsey in the DA's Office to MANUFACTURE EVIDENCE to clear their beloved Ramseys.

What if the "touch DNA" was PUT ON THE CLOTHES and then the same DNA falsified as the earlier DNA test result in a document sent to the new lab, which MATCHES this "touch" DNA? Oh, like it's never been done? In this case, there is NOTHING that Team Ramsey wouldn't do, IMO.

I do not trust Lacy. I do not trust Team Ramsey. I have seen them all go to extraordinary lengths to screw up this case and make sure the real killer is never caught. The only family of JonBenet's who even made sense in this latest scam, amazingly enough, was Don Paugh, who said about it all (paraphrase), Big deal, they still haven't found the killer.

One more thing: did anyone else notice THE WOMAN ON ABRAMS' SHOW LAST NIGHT WHO "BROKE THIS STORY"? That would be PAULA WOODWARD, the same BRILLIANT reporter who last week gave us "John Ramsey has a computer virus!!"

It's ALL FOR SHOW. The only person benefitting from this is JOHN MARK PERV KARR, who is having a GRAND old time being paraded around with HIS SICKO FANTASIES ALL OVER AGAIN, at the expense of NO ONE BUT JONBENET. John Ramsey sure has NO PROBLEM with Karr's lascivious rants about JonBenet, THAT'S CLEAR ENOUGH. Where's the LEGAL POWERHOUSE when it's JONBENET who is the victim--again? Oh, right, can't collect MONEY from PERV KARR.

I'm probably not making any sense, I'm so disgusted. Sorry if all these questions have been answered today, as I'm behind because real life has demanded my attention. Any way I see it, I just DO NOT understand how the Ramseys nor their SHILLS can think this is some kind of VICTORY! Eleven plus years and STILL NO CLUE WHO THE KILLER IS? Right. Because ONCE AGAIN, THE DA IN BOULDER IS WORKING TO PROVE THE RAMSEYS INNOCENT, NOT TO SOLVE THE CASE.
