Help, I think I'm lost.

I don't know Lake from a hole in the ground. I did go read through some of the posts Spade referenced, and finally found some written by Lake.

The research I did on Mark Olshaker was to see if I could find a bio and determine his age, etc. to see if he could be the Lake that Sabrina listened to on the radio show. She said "Lake" sounded elderly. Spade said "Lake" is Mark Olshaker. But the research I did suggests Olshaker is not elderly; ergo, Olshaker couldn't be Lake. However, if there is more than one Lake, then the equation changes because there is another variable ... therefore, Olshaker could be Lake.

So ... I'm not sure what you want to compare. I agree there could be more than one Lake. In fact, if you think there is, I trust your judgement because I wasn't there at JW.

He*l no! And that was possibly the first fact of the case that convinced me that mama and papa were involved :rage: up to their eyeballs in their daughter's death. :rage:

I think everyne who is interested should go listen themselves!

I posted the link and, the trick is when you see the audio window pop up you have to click on the button to start it.

I just can't imagine that there were more than 1 Lake without some fallout taking place. Alot of the posters were listening to those radio shows and discussing them. If someone called in impersonating Lake, I would think the real Lake would have been posting about it.

It's possible Ohshaker was posting (or just reading) but I do not think he was the hat Lake. Just as I think it is likely John Karr was at least reading. He probably loved reading Jameson's sex glove and other porno like descriptions.

    Question about Websleuths

I didn't want to start another thread about this, but when I read some of the posts over at Websleuths, it seems as if they are sort of "baby" Justice for JonBenet" people, you know? Their discussions seem to be at the point where many of them are just beginning to delve into the contradictions of the Ramsey's statements v. evidence. There are still quite a few IDI people there, too, I think. Is that the case - that this forum is for the people who "get it," and aren't struggling to understand the basics, and that forum is for the folks who are a little less educated in the case details?

The posters seem to be a mix of people, some of whom may have been listening to Jameson and the media for a while and then decided to look around for themselves.

    Am I right?

Hm. Well, I guess WS is a larger forum with a more diverse membership because it has so many active forums on other cases. Therefore, people who come there to discuss cases like the Peterson case or the Westerfield case, etc., find their way to the JB forum sometimes. They may or may not know much about the Ramsey case. You have to remember that the Ramsey case is a decade old. People have heard about it at various times, but not necessarily have kept up with it like many here have.

In that 10 year period, we have seen the case go through many transitions, as well: from the BPD investigating the case, to Lin Wood kidnapping it and burying it with DA Lacy, for instance. I've seen it go from a search for true evidence to Lou Smit's hugely biased and illogical "intruder" propaganda being washed endlessly over the public in Tracey's numerous and deeply misleading crocumentaries, set up by Lin Wood/the Ramsey's numerous slapsuits. Until the Karr fiasco, almost NO reporters, TV interviewers, or anchors were objectively questioning the RST propaganda push anymore. Simple logic was buried under legal threats, and the truth was as trashed as last week's leftovers. I understand how people get confused and misled when they have jobs and families and nobody's telling the truth anymore except forums like FFJ. The best example of this was when Karr was reported as ARRESTED for the murder; how many anchors/reporters were CELEBRATING and CONGRATULATING the Ramseys, declaring they had now been EXONERATED? Oops.

Yes, there are more RST believers at WS than here, that's for sure. I think the problem we have with some who are pro Ram coming here is that they come in with an agenda: confrontation. They want to tell us off, insult us with their holier than thou attitudes, rather than truly debate the evidence. They don't come with any honest intention of joining our community in the spirit of JFJBR, but come in flaming us in the name of the poor, innocent Ramseys. They don't last, never intended to....

So in that sense, WB is a good place to have discussion if a person isn't sure of the evidence, wants to hear both sides, etc. Most here have been there, done that, and we're at a different point in our knowledge of the case. We're deep into the forensics of the case. FFJ members are really astonishing in their dedication, skill, and intelligence, IMO. I'm just happy to be here with them because they teach me so much.

I understand what you are saying, but FFJ has a lot of other forums as well, no? So I thought that the WS forum for JonBenet would have people who were at a similar point in their thought processes, but from reading the messages, they seem much "newer," so to speak.

Yes, I do believe it's a factor of how old the case is. Some people have never heard of it, imagine that! I had a 5 year old son at that time, so the whole thing was pretty real to me, plus, I saw the Ramseys on CNN and thought they were lying at the time. It was awful to contemplate what had happened to JonBenet, but I knew that John and Patsy knew what had happened, and that they were not telling the truth when they talked about an intruder. So that stayed in my mind over the years after the case died out of the media.

I was just curious to know if what I observed was true. I like it here much better! I'd be constantly going over the basics over there, and trying to patiently lead the herd to the water trough.... :yow:
