Maybe sketchman was the REAL killer...

Wasn't the mullett video of KarrWreck from right around the time JB was killed? He had a lot more weight on back then and looked "normal" unlike today.

I know that this will offend some ... but isn't the constant Media attention regarding the Sketchman just a little ridiculous? It smacks as catering to foolish voodoo beleivers, and has NO relevance to genuine case evidence.

I personally belive that we should do what we can to STOP the Media devotion to following these inane red herrings all over the place. This is no more relevant than reading tea leaves. TheMedia is doing an INJUSTICE to our goal of seeking Justice for JonBenet.

I agree, Double Y, so just smack me upside the head too while you're at it. If Sketchman and Karr were identical twins, that sketch is inadmissible at trial so it's useless. It's not evidence, so why flap our traps about it?

BUT....this is exactly what the RST is doing. Putting out all these red herrings to the media who do indeed feed on it like a gang of hungry sharks. As long as the media keeps telling the public there's viable DNA for matching, an unidentified palm print, or the curve of Karr's letter "L" is JUST like the ransom note (Nancy Grace, what ARE you thinkin' Girlfriend????), more and more people, like Karr's fellow teacher in Thailand who got his puss on the news, will believe the Rs are innocent and the intruder theory correct.

That's why I believe it's imperative to address each and every single one of these media claims with hard evidence and hard on, like we've been doing here at FFJ all these years.

And it has always infuriated me that the RST promotes such a double standard that THEY can manipulate the press all they want but if the press turns on the Ramseys, LimpWood's right there to threaten suit. And THEY can trash innocent people like Gigax and Helgoth but if anyone speaks a false note against a Ramsey, LimpWood's there again threatening to make us all "defendants." Bring it Wood! :rage:

 

Of course it's voodoo stuff. However, I have to say that I was one of the first to comment on his likeness to Sketchman - but I did so because of it's novelty value and no more. There is a resemblance to Sketchman NOW but he looked nothing like him ten years ago. People keep commenting on his weak body-build - I have even seen him described as "frail" and for that reason, some people have even been discussing whther he would have had the strength to cause JBR's head injury. What nonsense!!! You only need to look at the then and no photos to see that this guy has literally wasted away over the past ten years and that he had a much more substantial build ten years ago.

I agree with your post and it makes great sense. I think Karr's present appearance has a lot to do with his mental decompensation and possibly hormone therapy in preparation for transgender surgery while he was in Thailand. In fact, I'm wondering if Karr is truly delusional and not just faking that aspect, if hormone therapy isn't causing most of that as well. I don't think they'll allow him to stay on those kinds of meds now that he's in custody, so maybe he'll "butch up" again to his old self.

I wonder if any of our media friends might be able to find out IF Karr was on hormone therapy by that doc at the Thai clinic?????

 

Was he having transgender surgery? I've heard numerous different reports about this:-

1) That a card for a clinic "specialising in transgender surgery" was found in his apartment.
2) That someone at the clinic confirmed that he was a patient.
3) hat the doctor at the clinic denied all knowledge of him.
4) That someone else said he was having laser hair removal - which is another of the clinic's specialities!

 

In case you haven't seen it, Jay, here's a pic of the doctor who admits treating Karr for removal of facial hair. He has a photo of Karr on his computer that apparently shows Karr when he first applied for the treatment because Karr definitely looks "beefier" and obviously weighs more than he does now.

 

We discussed this on CN2000 a few years back, Jay, and quite a few of us thought the sketch was more like John Ramsey with his broad forehead, than anyone else who came up. They do have psychics working with cold cases today, with some of them helping a great deal, and there is one in our Niagara area who works with the cops when asked.

 

I caught this on the news. (interesting little note - it was The Sun who had reported about the laser hair remova - but as you can imagine, they were speculating about it being in a saucier part of the bodyl!!! LOL)

I could be wrong about this, but isn't hair removal one of the last stages of gender therapy? I've seen tv programmes about this and read trashy magazine articles too. I thought that the first stage of the process was to administer hormones. THAT causes changes to the voice and hair growth. Why would he spend all that money on hair removal if he was planning to go through with other treatment which would reduce his need for hair removal? None of this is making sense.

It sounds to me as if he just didn't like shaving. His voice doesn't sound as though he's been taking female hormones either.

Now here's a thought - supposing he WAS considering a sex change. I wonder how likely it would be that he thought this might cure his paedophilia?

 

I didn't see the first post here when I posted the pictures I found of John Ramsey. The one on the first post is much better than what I found. Looks like the psychic's description was sketched right from that picture. Eeerie!

And to Jayelles, I also thought hair removal was a last stage because one of the effects of the female hormones (as I remember without looking it up) is to make facial hair softer and less course (and less of it). So, it would make sense to wait until after hormone therapy to do hair removal.

 

For me, the fastest cure for pedophiles would be the "chopping off" method, and I'll even help if they're short of staff, Jay.

You're too young to remember Dr. Richard Raskin who had a sex change and became Dr. Renee Richards in 1975, but I know you will have heard of her. Maybe researching her might provide a few answers (?). She was on the news all day long just like John Mark Karr is today, but not for being arrested.

In reply to the "voodoo" aspect of all this: I agree. It is silly to consider a psychic's sketch evidence.

The point behind this thread was a somewhat humorous one seeing as how the media compares the sketch to practically everyone EXCEPT JR who just so happens to resemble it the most **giggle** oh well.
