These American Girl dolls are not the same as the My Twinn dolls. You can visit the sites for comparison at www.americangirldolls.com and www.mytwinn.com. Interestingly, the My Twinn dolls are based in Denver according to the website - "The people of Denver-based eToys Directâ„¢, Inc. own and operate the My Twinn site and produce the My Twinn catalog."

Jahazafat is definitely on to something here. Lurker, what directly connects PR to this find is that her sweater fibers were also found with what could be fibers from this doll on the same piece of duct tape. PR has always maintained that at no time was she ever in the basement while wearing that sweater. So how did it get on the duct tape AND with these other fibers?????

I know this says DNA, but I think it's interesting that Beckner said that it did not come from JonBenet's body or clothing.

The shot of the doll with the cord is downright creepy. It is almost as if someone used that doll as an idea or something for Jonbenet's death!

I don't think it's the same rope. In Thomas' book (or maybe it's Schiller's) the rope is talked about and described. I think the rope is synthetic and somewhat shiny. The doll rope is cotton and it appears dull.

    Just MHO.

    I agree

The rope around JonBenet's neck is more flat while the other rope is round.

Still - how chilling of a comparison.

American Doll kills American Sweetheart... the DOLLY did it. She had the motive (jealous of JB) ...the weapons ...rope and tape..and just needed a helping hand from Mom and Dad to pull her strings.
More bizzare by the minute eh?

    The Cord

I'm sure the CBI did an expert analysis of the garotte cord. But did they do a comparison with the doll cord?

And why did Pam Paugh remove the American Girl dolls from the house? It's not as if any other little girl in the family would want to play with the dolls of their murdered relative.

I can think of a reason why Ms. Pugh would remove the dolls. She knew they were at the scene of the crime and wanted to remove any/all trace evidence from the house. OR perhaps... looey Pam wanted to destroy the only witnesses to the actual crime. *LOL*

I think she was asked to get the dolls. I bet one of the dolls matches the one that was delivered to Access Graphics after Jan.1st 1997. Why? Because if there was a piece of duct tape on the doll and that duct tape was used to cover JBR's mouth then there would be fibers from the doll.

The Ramseys got rid of the doll the duct tape came from and replaed it with another in case they were ever asked about the doll.

I think the two different strings look very similar. The picture of the American Doll string shows it new and pristine. The one around JBR's neck would have had some wear to it, and not been as round ... especially if it came from a doll she had played with for awhile. You can see the same weaving pattern in both of them.

I also think the duct tape could have come from Patsy previously taping the string down to the doll's back so it would not interfere with JBR's playing with it. It would makes sense why the Ramseys would want a duplicate doll delivered to Access Graphics. The original American Doll was missing her string and duct tape.

    Cherokee,

I agree with your comment of the strings looking similiar. Esp in those 2 photos.
There is a decided difference in the one shot of the garrot and string because it does look very shiny. But here the ropes or strings look very similiar.

And since CAP was given a list of specific things to remove from the house I'm sure that that doll was at the top of the list for removal.

Oh my, how that one act of deception looms over this whole case...CAP removing all that stuff from the murder scene. If only.............

Thanks Aurora but I can take ZERO credit for this theory. It's all jahazafat/pinker. This is what she has been trying to tell us for years. It was only recently that she was able to admit she worked at the doll company and that's how she knew about the order and the duct tape.
